Wandering the streets, she began to doubt if he lied, and it was just one big game. Pushing that though away, she paced in a circle, ignoring the stares from the passers. Fumbling with her scarf, she finally spotted him.
Walking towards towards him, she hesitated slightly before approaching him, her dear notebook in her bag. Waving slightly, she nodded and smiled. "Roght on time, like I expected"

Jace smiled at Calla and lead her back through to the living room. He flicked the TV on, it flashing quietly in the background. He busied himself with handing her her drink, so as not to dwell on the emotions within him. He stroked his cat as it rubbed against his legs, getting brown fur all over his jeans.

Calla smiled and thanked him quietly. She took a sip of her drink and slowly sat down on the couch. She set her drink on the table and patted the spot next to her. She wanted to comfort him someway.

"Ah, but nerds are all trigonometry and AP classes and pocket protectors. You're more.. cute gamer," he said, not really certain that he'd said it aloud, but wanted to shove his fist into his mouth nonetheless. He wanted to punch himself -- his whole brain was screaming 'abort! abort! take it back!' But, obviously, there was no changing what was already said. "But, hey, if I had the money for an XBOX, I'd never leave my couch, so I'm with you on that one." He laughed, trying not to make it sound like the awkward cover-up that it was. Crossing another intersection and walking through another city block, they were finally there. Columbus Deli -- the place that put canned ravioli in Adam's cupboards and Meow Mix in Jude's food dish.

Jace smiled at her, and sat next to her. He didn't want her pity. He just wanted her company. "I love you." he said quietly.

Elliot chuckled slightly "I sure hope you didn't expect anything else" he said rubbing the shoulder that he had his case strap hanging over. "So lead the way" he said with a bright smile. He wasn't sure if he should be excited or nervous for what was to come. But he shrugged it off, he would just have to figure that out when they got there.

Rhett felt her face get a bit pink then she shrugged. "My brother got it for me for Christmas, guess he was sick of my playing around with them every single time we went to Walmart" she said with a slight chuckle "He pretty much paid for everything, he worked day and night to afford the apartment we live in, I begged to help out but he thought I 'couldn't handle it'" she said making air quotes with her fingers. "So I just volunteered at animal shelters so I wasn't just sitting around all day." then she paused again and put her face in her hands "I am talking to much, I have a tendency to do that.... when I am not scared of someone" she said threw her hands. She would never talk to someone she didn't know, not even ask a simple question. But when she trusted someone it was nonstop.

"Oh, so I'm not scary?" Adam asked, teasing, raising an eyebrow. They were bantering now, he realized. Friendly, borderline-flirtatious banter. His cheeks were surely burning red by now, and he felt now older than five with how he was acting. Opening the door to the deli, he gave a half-wave at Dom, the guy who he'd take the place of. There were a total of two customers in the shabby old place: an old man at the counter huddled over a cup of coffee, who he felt great pity towards. The second was similar, except a middle-aged woman in a corner booth reading a newspaper with a half-eaten omelette in front of her. He lead Rhett to the back room that neighbored the kitchen: it doubled as the 'manager's office and the place where the few employees clocked in and out of. There were about five matching maroon-colored cook's aprons on pegs; he grabbed one, tying it in the back. "Want one?" he asked holding one out to her.

Rhett laughed "Sure thing" she said before taking off her bright yellow hoodie and put it on one of the empty pegs. "So you cook...something that I can't do.." she said chuckling at herself. "I can hardly even make a poptart with out burning it" she said struggling as she tried to coping his tying. "And tying a bow is also not on the list of things I can't do I guess" she added spinning in circles to see her back.

Adam just shook his head teasingly again, letting a laugh escape his lips. "You're a lot cause," he joked, tying a bow in the middle of her back that left the right amount of space for her to move around -- not desperately tight, and not sloppily loose. "And I guess you'll just have to stick around me after tonight, then, because once you've taste my cooking, you're never going to want to eat anywhere else. I am French after all." He was proud of the fact that he was born and, for the most part, raised in France. He loved the place, sometimes missed it, and it was nice to know that lots of girls assumed he was romantic because of his birthplace. Because, hey, he didn't really look that sweet and hug-loving to a stranger.

Rhett laughed "Well aren't you fancy?" she joked back "I am from Illinois so I am a I-IIllinoi-san.... I guess.." she said chuckling as she tried to pronounce the word. Then she shrugged ""Who knows what we are called, but we are the lead producer of corn." she said standing tall but couldn't keep herself from laughing again.
