Ingo turned back,. despite her physical repulsion, her need to get away from the grave, she would never disobey Captain's orders. She gathered, along with the others, who were now clustered by the graveside. "Fingers," mumbled Ingo, it was as good a guess as any. "The nearest things to the body were sticks, a gun, and a dagger. The stick was too narrow, the blade too thin and a pistol far too wide," she said, then added with a shudder, "We've got a sick b*stard in our crew," she wasn't ashamed to say it, to use the filthy word that had been boling on her tongue. That's all the petty murderer deserved. "Who's absent, and who do we currently believe has done this, 'cause right now it seems that this sure as heck weren't suicide," Despite the anger and sadness bubbling inside her, she seemed to force all her emotions into her words, maintaining a cool head and a fierce tongue. Something has changed in Ingo, and as far as beeing First Mate was concerned, it was certainly for the better. Ingo didn't want to be so overly emotional any more, that was for sure, she had decided, right then and there, that she'd be strong. She'd be strong for Sonja and she'd use her emotion, her fury, as a driving force for her words. She would be stronger, and she would be better, and she wouldn't let this murder lie.

"Of course it wasn't suicide," snapped Indigo. "She'd have shot herself in the head, not bashed it in with the butt of the gun." And besides that, she thought, Sonja was... some sort of religious. There's rules about suicide. I think. Or maybe not. I'll not say anything on that; someone who knows better will speak up on that point. Turning to Jack, she apologized for cutting him off. "Go on," she told him. "What've you got to say?" She hadn't meant to sound so blunt or angry, but one of the most important members of her crew had been murdered. "And now I suppose we might as well all start pointing fingers. Here, let's find a scapegoat right off! Oh, we'll have a hanging by nightfall, I'm sure of it!" Now her voice was sarcastic and derisive, openly mocking.

He raised an eye but didn't question her. Truth was, they would probably have a hanging by nightfall. "Captain, it was Tessa-Rose who raised the alarm." He paused, his eyes darting to look at his crewmates. "She herself was covered in blood.... So many lacerations. We took her to the infirmary, but, you see....." He took a deep breath. "She was the last person to see Sonja. She left just after her and followed her. Tessa-Rose said that they had fought....." He trailed off, and looked at his feet.

Now Indigo was completely serious. "They were fighting?" she reiterated, voice sharp. "Stop looking at your feet, boy." She called him this only because it bothered her when people couldn't meet her eye while they talked to her. It made people seem... sneaky. Untrustworthy. "Look at me while I'm talking to you. What else happened? And-" she stopped, looking around. "And on that note, where is Tessa-Rose now? I haven't seen her at all since I woke up."

He looked up, and looking into his captain's eyes, trying to look confident. "Aye, they fought. Tessa-Rose was found when we went looking for Sonja." He make his gaze level. "Tessa-Rose was taken to the infirmary while I went to get Sonja's possessions." And I ran into you there.

[You know what I've realized? Indigo started out as a teeny little background character, way way back. Same with Melody and Liam and Patric. And now they're the only characters I have left alive.]

Indigo's mind began to race. Was it possible that Sonja had been murdered by a member of her own crew? And Tessa-Rose, of all people? It didn't seem possible, but then again, she had seen six people murdered in one day back at Port Royale. She blinked, long and slow, then snapped out orders. "Jack, get the crew back to the house. I don't want any of you leaving that cabin until this is cleared up. Ingo, you're coming with me." She wouldn't have chosen anyone else to accompany her; after all, the first mate had been with her through thick and thin, back and back and back. "We've got to talk to Tessa-Rose about this." She fully expected her orders to be obeyed; as such, she turned on her heel and strode off, grabbing the walking stick she had picked up earlier from where it was leaning against a tree. She'd need it, if she was going to be going back along that dusty, rutted road into town.

He nodded, dipping his head to show his agreement to the order. The crew could fend for themselves, aye, but it was definately better to be safe than sorry. So the cook turned to the crew, waving his hands in the shooing motion. "Come on, let's get back inside." He told them, before moving around the crowd and leading the way.
