Markus Sly
A small fishing boat drifts closer to the shore as a guy, who wears an appalled facial expression, he stands up to get a better view of the ship that is docked in the harbor. Markus could not believe his eyes, surely this couldn't be the elegant Maiden he sailed in long ago. Sure enough when he drifted closer the beautiful wood work he could nevor forget, his breathe was taken away. As he scanned the top of the ship he automatically noticed the mast was missing and the Maiden was pretty beat up. He moves his fishing boat as close as he could to examen it. He brushes his hand across the structure of the boat feeling the intrecate wood work. His brows burrowed into a sorrowful facial expression, "How did you get yourself into this mess?" Any ship like the Maiden should never go through this abuse. The one thing he can not stand is a ship that can not sail.
He quickly put his boat ashore on the sandy bank and sold his catch of the day for a handful of specie (coins). His heart was racing, ' If I could only find you again.' He ran back to where the Maiden was and carefully climbed on the ship. He looked around, the mast was beyond repair, they would have to structure a new one. It lay across the front of the deck, the base broken all the way through. He sees no sign of the people he once knew. It was empty with no sign of life, like a ghost ship ready to sail off to the heart of the ocean and the end of the earth. He looks around the town from the ship's view trying to spot any familiar faces. With no luck he climbed back to shore and went straight to Gaven, an aquatence of his, down at the dock who records all the people that stay in the town. He sees Gaven talking to some little kid and he walks right up to him. " Gaven, can I have a minute?"
Gaven looks over and sees Markus's same relaxed face and shoo's the kid away, " Wa can I do for ya'?
"Where are the people who own the Maiden?" He asks him wondering if they stayed in town.
"Them, why do you wa' to mess them em'? There ba' news Markus. Pirates they are." Gaven tries to warn his friend.
"Jus' tell me where they are Gaven," his patients grew low.
"Fine, they are stayin' at Gannet's house." Gaven knew better than to mess with Markus.
"Thanks mate." With that Markus heads off to Gannet's house.
He finally exits the noisy main street to follow a cobbled road up to Gannets house. The tall grass sways in the wind, Irland, a land of pure beauty. Eventually it all comes to an end, he will leave this place just like his home, always leaving, traveling, keeping his pirate identity secret, but no more. If he could only find the blasted people who own the Maiden! As his thoughts consume him, a horse without a rider comes down the cobbled path and runs past him.

Tessa-Rose was sulking at the back of the group of the crew, arms crossed over her chest, head bowed so that a couple of dreadlocks were hanging down past her face. Her eyes were closed, and her jaw clenched as she continued to fight an internal battle to rid herself of the grief that came whenever she thought about her parents' deaths. One arm, her right, unravelled itself and she pulled her pistol from her sash, pointing it at the small brick wall next to her. Slowly, she pulled the trigger, completely prepared for the echoing bang that sounded along the street.
However, it did nothing to help her, and she replaced it in her sash, a scowl etched on her face.

Sonja flinched at the sound of gunfire behind her and turned swiftly, pulling out her own pistol as she faced the threat. Or the empty street, as it were, with Tessa-Rose standing at the back with a smoking gun. Furiously, Sonja tucked her pistol back into her belt as she stalked towards the crewmember. She stopped directly in front of her, cutting Tessa-Rose off from the rest of the crew. "Are ye mad?" she hissed, not wanting to yell in case the villagers thought they had started a riot. "Shootin' off yer pistol when it's comin' on dark! An' I'm sure that by now everyone in town knows tha' there's pirates visitin', an' as if that wasn'a enough to make 'em nervous, here ye are, shootin' at stones!"
The gunshot echoed down the lane and Emerald's horse screamed and reared up, tossing his rider from his back. The beast stomped down again and Liam only just managed to get out of the way. The horse shook his head from side to side, eyes white all of the way around, then turned and galloped off down the cobbled street. Horses instinctively run home if they're scared badly enough- it seemed this one was no exception. Anxiously, Liam knelt by Emerald and asked, "Are you alright?" Falling off of a horse was bad enough, and falling onto brick was worse.

Tessa-Rose continued to scowl, turning her head slowly to Sonja. She listened to what she had to say, not really caring. Didn't matter that much.
"Well sorry for havin' pent up frustration and grief, alrigh'? I can't 'elp it if ya brought back memories of me parents hanging, dead, can I?" She snarled back, not realising until she had finished what she had said.

Emerald's eyes went wide as the horse reared. She leaned forward on his neck, desperate to stay on, but she had no saddle and she slipped right off his back. All she remembered was tumbling and trying to land on her shoulder. That didn't work out so well and she landed on her hip, also hitting her shoulder and head. She bit her lip to keep from crying out, her vision blurred only a little. She could taste blood on her tongue, from biting down on her lip so hard. She tried to get up and go after the horse but she couldn't even make it to her feet. At this point she was more concerned for the horse than she was for herself. Liam's voice made her head hurt, every noise did. She, at this point, was on her hands and knees. She looked over her shoulder at Liam and sat down. "Yea I'm fine I just hit my..." she paused, checking how everything felt, and realizing her hip and head hurt worst of all. "My hip and head. But I'm fine just help me up please." she said, her words were slightly slurred.

Jack saw Emerald fall to the floor and rushed over, ignoring his own headache. The gunshot had made the pain intesify, but right now Emerald needed his help. He wasn't even the doctor of the vessel, he was the cook, but he knew a way to help headaches. Chicken soup and a slice of lime to rub on the head.
"Someone, get me a lime and some chicken soup!"
