((That's fine))

Ingo smiled back at him and slid through the door, peering around with a smile, she looked back at Liam and smiled again. It really did look quite a nice place. She spotted about five girls all gathered around a table, staring at her, she smiled, quite confused. "Are ye a real pirate?" asked one of them, who turned out to be Ruby.

"Me? A pirate?" scoffed Liam, motioning for Ingo to sit down, and taking the seat across from her. "I'm afraid not, lassie. Ah'm just a blacksmith from the next town over, come to deal in copper wi' the ships comin' in this time o' year." He sounded so truthful that even he wondered if it wasn't a lie, after all. If it hadn't been for Ingo across from him, he might have been able to convince himself that everything was exactly the same as it had been before he left Port Royale. Before his brother was killed. "If ye don' mind, me lassies, where's th' owner of this establishment? I can' help but think that five gals could run a place this size all on their own."

The small girl's face dropped, she ahd so wanted there to be pirates, it was on of the most exciting things that had happened all year, well, except for when that funny boy washed up, no-one really knew much about him. Ruby scurried back into the kitchen, anothe girl appearing as she dissappeared. Jay and ruby came out, the former holding the baby. "Mam's gone out, but for now I'm the owner, what can I interest ye both in?" he said kindly, he smiled at his customers and waited politely.

Liam thought for a moment, then said, "Do ye have any sort o' fish for fryin'? I'd be glad for a plate o' fish an' chips just about now."

"And the same for me," added Ingo, who had barely ever eaten good food. She remembered the first fish and chips she'd ever bought with her own money. She'd sold plenty of her own wood carvings and eventually gained enough funds. Betwen her small group of friends the street rats had bought one portion, leaving money for clothes too. It had been the most delicious thing. The texture of the fish, even the colour seemed to make it more delicious. The salty chips and the mild flavour went so well together. She had loved it, she truly had, the way it came wrapped in a bundle of newspaper was a novelty to her, she knew she wouldn't forget it, even though she had onyl been around nine at the time.
"We've haddock an' plaice, any preference?" replied Jay to Liam, and nodded to Ingo as well.

"Whichever ye think is best," replied Liam with a polite nod Why was this boy taking the orders? This inn didn't look run-down like one that would belong to a drunk or junkie, so why was the place full of children? The boy had said that his mother was out; what about his father? Unless he was dead, or serving in the army. The boy didn't hold himself like the son of a marine or soldier, though, which pointed more towards not having a father at all. Liam didn't say anything, though- he wasn't so rude as to point out something like that.

Ingo shrugged, suggesting the same response as Liam. Jay nodded, "Caught the haddock meself, I'd say that's best," and he smiled, before going back into the kitchen, he ran a hand through his messy hair when he arrived there. At least his sisters were good for something, they had put the cooker on. He gutted and filleted the haddock, preparing it with spices and sauces, all sorts of things, then put it in the oven. Soon after, once the potatos had been chopped, prepared and oiled, they went in a roasting tin too. All was well and everything was cooking, he even some vegatbles on the go, just in case. With the free time that he had Jay pulled himself up onto a stool in the kitchen. He sighed. He hated the responsability here sometimes. He loved to cook, but he practically owned the Inn now. His father was growing old and ill, his joints barely mobile, only his mind and his vocal chords in full workign order. And his dear mother, she was lovely, kind and gentle, but she too wasn't in the fittest shape. It was up to James to keep the place fine, well, and his sisters. But he was the only one of a suitable age yet he felt he hadn't done much with his life. A thirty year old stuck in the Inn, the same village where he's always been. He knew everyone in the village, he always knew what was going on and everyone liked him, but he strived for a more exciting life, a better life for him.

Ingo looked around the place with interested eyes, she spotted just hwo well-kept everything was. Yes some of the stools weree worn and the wood was marked with coffe and beer rings, but everythign was polished and sewn up. It was quite a dark place, but not dingy, humble and cosy. She liked it here.

Melody didn't say anything further to Emerald; her crewmate got the point, and there was no need to rub it in. They made their way back to the edge of town where the infirmary was, and Melody saw Sonja coming from a different street with Rodney in close tow behind her. Betty and one of the doctors were standing just outside the infirmary doors, talking, and the Irish boy who had been fishing when they ran aground was standing by himself. His head was down, but his face looked pinched up as if he had a fierce headache.

Emerald gulped and shook her hair out a little, smiling when she saw the others. "So what now?" she asked Melody.
