dan shrugged slightly as aspyn spoke, not really paying her words much heed. he had been in a relationship with a girl for three years in high school, but hadn't been in a single relationship since they had broken up. cress sighed lightly, choosing to go to the nearest coffee shop to pick up something simple. walking in, she ordered her regular drink and sat down at an empty table in the corner that gave the appearance of being worn and recently cleaned. brilliant. a few moments later, she flicked out her phone, glancing through her contacts. cress shook her head slightly. she never called anyone. a couple of years ago, she had broken off all forms of contact, choosing to focus on herself and her education.

She then started to walk away, fixing her umbrella as her high heels clicked against the floor, rolling her eyes the slightest bit before continuing. She felt somewhat bad about the hostility, although, she couldn't really let it bother her for long. fortunately for her, she lived pretty close, so she didn't have to walk in the rain much longer. she grabbed her keys, twisting them into the doorknob before walking in to her abode, shaking her head.

dan stared blankly as he watched her leave, rushing down the dampened streets. shrugging slightly, he whipped around, surprised to see a figure coming toward him. his heart raced in his chest, something about this screamed that it was a very bad situation he had found himself in. the figure moved confidently, and he knew as they started running that they were definitely not friendly, and that they had also recognised him. brilliant. dan cursed under his breath as he quickly turned and bolted as fast as he could, hearing the heavy footsteps following him. he wasn't sure what to do but keep running. after all, the flat wasn't close and he didn't want to risk the follower knowing where he lived.

allowing a sigh to escape her lips, she slipped her shoes off upon entering her home. without much thought on anything that had happened. she looked around her house, almost unsure of what to do. she was pretty bored, and ultimately decided to watch a movie. however, she couldn't really get what happened out of her head. she almost regretted it.

After several minutes of strolling, a coffee shop came into view which was good news. He needed some caffeine to wipe the drowsiness off his eyes. He made his way a few more blocks to reach the coffee shop, grabbing hold of the handle, opened it and walked in. The air inside smelled of... of course, coffee which was soothing to him. He walked up to the counter where no customer was lined up at, ordering an espresso and flashing a friendly smile to the girl who looked a little shocked but grinned back anyway and went to make his coffee. Shocked probably by his smile? Or that she recognized him? Either way, it doesn't really matter.

Slamming the laptop shut, but then instantly regretting that decision, Tatum tosses, lightly, the electronic device onto her bed and leaves the room. When things get on her nerves, it's best to eat just in case the true cause of her frustrations is the lack of energy in her body, aka food. With a sigh, Tae enters the kitchen, thankful that she was able to bargain the landlord to let her keep all the kitchen appliances instead of making her buy her own, as was originally intended. However, Tatum's landlord is a little old lady whose husband passed away a year ago. This used to be their house, but because of depression and mourning, the old lady became unkempt and neglected her hously duties. Trying to find a new start away from the memories, she put the home up for rent and along came Tatum looking for just such a place. Everything worked out at the end.

With two steps into the kitchen and her mind on making a simple decent meal for one, Tatum's cellphone suddenly starts blaring out the lyrics to her favorite song I don't know, what I know... She scurries back into the room and picks it up quickly after reading the caller ID, but not without throwing one last glare at the laptop sitting patiently on her cotton sheets.

"Uh hey, Mom. What's up?" The conversation doesn't last long. Tae's Mom isn't much of a conversationalist and Tatum likes it that way. The less she has to hear from that mouth the better.
