Sail the Seas (Pirate RP Needs Members!)

Rodney trotted by Sonja's side, more like a puppy than a boy in his actions. He ran a hand through his unruly wave of hair, wondering who this boy was, and where they going. In amongst all of this, he hoped Indigo would be alright, she was, after all, like a family member to him.

Ingo nodded in reply to the navigator, she nad betty were taking Indigo along, and Ingo jkept looking nervously at Liam, but the nervous glanes were all she dared to do, she didn't want anyone to die today. this crew had resisted death so many times, she just didn't want another crew meber to go down.

[Melody and Emerald are tying up loose ends on the ship, making temporary repairs until they can be fixed. Sonja, Ingo, Rodney, Betty, Liam, and Indigo are on the mainland. A boy called Gannet is leading them to his village, where (hopefully) a doctor can fix up the two crew members.]

"Sure thing!" called Melody, tossing up the rest of the rope as Emerald asked her for it. She stood empty-handed on the deck, head tilted up as she scanned the rest of the mainmast with her eyes. "I think that spar is the last broken bit," she commented. "As soon as ye've got it all tied up, come on down and we can join th' crew."

Emerald smiled, she couldn't wait for land to be under her feet again. "Alright." she called down. She tied one end of the rope to the spar and tugged it to make sure the knot would hold. She then gripped it hard and pulled back, putting her feet against the mast and kind of walking on it. She stopped to catch her breath and started again. "Why. Do. Spars. Have. To be. So. Heavy?" she mumbled to herself through gritted teeth. She finally got it pulled from the sail and by the part it had broken off of. She pulled the rope back so the two pieces were tight together. She then started wrapping it around and tried to tie it off.

Kali looked around the lowest desk of the ship. It had gotten quiet all of a sudden, so the girl was listening closly to see if anyone was on board. She heard two people on the main deck, but that was two levels up. Kali smirked to herself slightly; this might give her a chance to look around again. She put up her hair with the ribbon she had around her waist then gripped her sword handle and looked around again. The girl stood up slowly, then started walking again, towards the stairs. It was just that momment that she realized just how dark the brig really was.

Noticing that Emerald was having a bit of trouble tying off the mast spar, Melody called up to her, "Try a three-dog knot. That should be enough to hold it until we can get the thing fixed." The young woman glanced over the rail of the ship at the crew walking away down the path, and something sparked in her mind for just a moment. A memory, something that had happened long ago, but it was there- faintly- "Hey, Emerald?" she called up. "Did that boy- the one who was fishing- did he look familiar to you? Something about the scars on his chest..." The quartermaster trailed off, not wanting to sound crazy.

Emerald nodded and felt like an idiot. "Thanks!" she called down, wondering how the thought had escaped her mind. She tied it as Melody had instructed and smiled, wiping a bit of sweat from her brow. All done. She swung herself over to the un damaged spar and untied the rope from her waist. She heard Melody ask her about the man and shrugged. She jumped from the spar into a flip and landed on a net. She then climbed from the net to the deck and brushed a stray curl from her face. She followed Melody's gaze to the man on shore and shrugged again. "Not really. Sorry. I mean, you may know him, you have been sailing for longer than I have."

Melody shrugged, then let it go and smiled. "We'd better catch up with the crew." Her smile faded a bit, and she said quietly, "I hope Indigo's alright. She looked pretty bad- I mean- she lost an arm..."

Emerald frowned. "Me too." she said softly as the image of the canon tearing off Indigo's arm replayed over and over in her head like a horror movie. She shuddered. "I mean, I haven't known her for very long but nobody should have to go through that."

"I'm sure she'll be fine, though," said Melody, trying to be optimistic. "And everyone else is alive after that storm. I suppose we can be thankful for that." She was, however, thinking of Liam- would he be alright? She knew that he and Ingo were close, although she had no idea just how close they were. "We'd better hurry," she said, finally, and tossed a rope over the side of the ship. She tied the free end to the rail and began scaling down quickly, being careful of her hands. She didn't want to add another injury to the list by getting rope burns.
