Altair nodded and remained silent. Desmond held Diana tighter, trying to comfort her. Diana looked as if she was about to cry, but she remained calm, following Emerald's instructions. Diana was trying her best to look calm, but this was scaring her so badly. Being held actually was comforting her. Altair was prepared for whatever was going to happen. He began to wonder, what are they going to do if the knights do check the cart? What would Emerald say?.. he remained calm. Desmond puts on his cloak, carefully, and covered his face. Altair thought that it might be suspiscious and tried to make a gesture of warning to Desmond, but Desmond didn't understand him. Diamante wasn't looking at the knights, but it made her very nervous when she heard the knights coming closer, but she kept on focusing on where she was driving.

(Alright! Guess I'll start it xD)

Emerald heard the soldiers slow down their horses. "Halt!" one of the soldiers called to Diamante. Emerald clenched her hands, getting pretty nervous. She felt so out of it right now. A few months ago, a situation like this wouldn't have bothered her this bad. It would seem like nothing. She knew she'd fought soldiers on the fly before, but now there was more people to look out for, including Frank and little Diana. And Arrowin wouldn't be fighting beside her. That's what was bothering her most. Arrowin always fought next to her, for as long as Emerald could remember. "Search the cart." she heard the soldier say, and she could hear two soldiers making their way towards the cart. Emerald took a deep breath, calming herself down. 'You can do this. You can fight anybody. You can do this.' she thought to herself.

Jack crouched behind a bush, having tethered Geal far behind. His dark eyes watched the soldiers intently, and he gritted his teeth when they were told to search the cart. Moving closer to the big wheels and making sure they didn't see him, he wondered whether the others were prepared to fight, or even better if they were hidden. But where could they hide? Jack took a deep breath, wishing his sword was with him and not in the back of the wagon.

Frank stiffened slightly as he heard the soldiers and gripped his maces handle, closing his eyes and letting his head fall forwards lightly, the footsteps growing louder as the back of the cart was flung open and the light burst in,the two figures appeared and started to poke and rummage around, giving frank a few hard shoves as he pretended to be asleep "Oi ,old timer, that's a fancy weapon" one of them jeered, not able to see franks full features and pointed towards the mace "Looks like a knights weapon, now who'd you kill to get that? the other questioned a little more sternly, Frank only murmered and lolled his head about.

Emerald squinted slightly when the soldiers opened the back of the cart, and held back a scowl as they started taunting Frank. "Leave him be." Emerald said gently to the soldiers. "He is sick with fever. He has not the strength to kill anybody, nor even wield the weapon. It was his father's." she lied to the soldiers. They looked at each other and shrugged, nodding. "Well we'll have to confiscate it." one of them said, reaching for the mace. "And we'll need one of your horses. The white one." Emerald's eyes went wide. Envy was the only white horse they had. "Take one of the ones from the back of the wagon." Emerald said, but the soldier gave her a hard glare. "General wants the white one. " "General can't have the white one." Emerald snapped. "Listen, little lady. General wants the white one, so that's the one we're taking." And the soldier walked off to the front of the wagon and started to unhitch Envy from the cart. Emerald jumped out of the wagon and tried to pull him away from her horse, but he just pushed down into the dirt. "Touch me again and I won't hesitate to kill you." he growled, continuing to take her horse. That was it. Nobody took her horse and nobody pushed her around. Emerald grabbed her dagger from her boot and lunged at the man, grabbing him by his hair and pulling his head back, exposing his throat and slitting it, throwing him into the dirt. "Nobody touches my horse." she snarled, knowing she had probably just unleashed hell on herself and the rest of the Hood.
