Frank smirked "merely looking after you sir" he answered calmly riding Diad down the slope covering the snitching guard in snow and halting next to Archer. Diad nickered his ears pricked forward as he nudged his new friend.
"May i ask why your here sir?" Frank asked calmly.

Sheriff chuckled. "I may be an old man but I can look after myself." he retorted. Archer snorted and nudged Diad back, ears pricked forward. "Looking for the Hood of course. Why else would I be out in the middle of no where?"

Frank smirked, "you might be finding more villages to pillage" he suggested leaning forward on the horn of his saddle. Diad stamped his hoof as he interacted with Archer.

Sheriff chuckled and shook his head. "No, I'm afraid not today. Already did," he said patting the coin pouch on his hip. "and King John and Mr. High And Mighty," he said referring to Guy, "didn't think it was the best way to start the day." he said with a scowl.

Frank smirked "I take it they have abandoned you to go find the hood themselves" he said, raising an eyebrow and shrugging his shoulders and stretching in the saddle.

Sheriff scowled. "Exactly. I get stuck with the tracker while they go follow their loyal hawk." he complained. "Guy's my puppet and John's taking him from me. It ain't fair." Realizing he had said that aloud, his eyes went wide slightly and his body stiff. "You didn't hear that from me, got it?"

Frank chuckled "i guess we share the same thoughts about guy then" he said "And don't worry your....erm... secrets safe" he added, glancing down to the tracker and frowning "That's who your relying on?" he chuckled.

Sheriff frowned and sighed. "Unfortunately, yes. He's pretty good at tracking but he moves at the pace of a snail." he said, his shoulders sagging. His gaze drifted to the tracker and rolled his eyes.

Arowin stopped shocked. She was unable to hide the pain in her eyes. She turned away and started walking off. She felt numb, betrayed and at a complete loss. Her eyes glazed over and the shocked face seemed imprinted onto her face. Her feet carried her further and further from the others, absent mindedly she started walking towards the trail the knights used. Her mind thought nothing but endless pain and tears.

Rebecca looked shocked at the scene ahead of her. She had to get Emerald now. She turned to the Prince and hesitated, what should she do.

Emerald scowled. She had lost the tracks a few feet back. "Arrowin! Rebecca! Chris!" she called out. Where were they? She started to panic but she regained her composure quickly. She knew having Arrowin go alone was a bad idea.
