"Yeah, why not?" he smiled. "We can get to know each other a little bit. Like, where're you from?" He shoved his hands into his pockets and began to walk.

Juliette rolled her eyes and nodded "well, I'm origionally from Texas" she said "but I moved because my parents got taken to jail and I ran away" she said stiffing her hands into her back pockets looking up at him "y'know, howabout you... where are you from" she said looking up at him her head tilted as she kicked rocks aound "smetimes I still mis my parents, they where ausive but I still love them you know" she smiled at him

"I wasn't really anything to my own parents either. I mean, they didn't abuse me but I was more similar to a slave than a son. I ran away too but an orphanage picked me up. It was...hard." He didn't want to elaborate on Pearl so he sort of trailed off. But hey, he had a lot in common with these kids.

Juliette hugged onto his arm "I was spanked at age 14" she spoke silently "that isn't normal" she loked up at him "anyway, how about a less depressing subject" she suggested still clinging to his arm "what... do you like?" She asked pressing her cheek against his arm

"Well...let's see...I like playing piano for one!" he said with a light smile now that they had switched subjects. He hadn't had much time to practice that skill but he enjoyed taking the time to learn long ago.

Juliette looked at him and smiled "I like um singing and playing drums" she confesed as she blushed looking up at him she whispered "who do you have a crus on?" She asked hoping he would be able to tell her she smiled up at him her green-blue eyes shimmering

"Well, I...uh, I did just get here," he said. "I haven't really been able to meet everyone and, I don't know, I just sort of got out of a hard relationship so maybe it's just not what I'm looking for right now," Gand answered honestly. He thought she was cool. Yeah, he liked her. But he simply wasn't ready or interested. He felt terrible for it, but he couldn't lie to himself or her.

"Maybe...maybe we should check on the others."

Juliette nodded in agreement and smiled at him hanging her head as she turned to walk the other way she saw something scary and it freaked her out she let out a scream and ran behind gabdalf as she trembled

He gasped, suddenly very frightened. He knew he had to be there for Juliette though. As freaky as this was, he could not allow himself to hide. Gand knew there was no weapon in sight. He reached into his backpack and pulled out firecrackers. Not exactly big explosives but enough to spook whatever creature was there.
