Sail the Seas (Pirate RP Needs Members!)

Sinbad shrugged. "I'm not known everywhere. Ship got wrecked here a few months ago. Been trying to get back at sea. I don't have my land legs. At all." He smirked and looked up at the ceiling. "Going to have to do this during the daytime, then I'll be out of your hair."

"Well," said Sonja, "If you feel the need to get back out to sea, my crew is always looking for new members. An experienced sailor would fit the bill quite nicely, and I'm out of the crew for good, so there'll be a hole to fill."

[Anomaly]

"Why are you out?" Sinbad inspected the ceiling. He was unsure if he could get it done in time to be out of her hair. Maybe he could. But he didn't want Sonja to be doing anything with a wound like that.

"You saw my bandages," said Sonja quietly, her voice laced with fury and indignation. She didn't want to talk about it, that much was obvious. "I'm no good until I heal, and even then I won't be able to fight like I used to."

[Anomaly]

"That's not the only reason, is it?" Sinbad looked at her. "Wounds never stop a sailor from sailing again, only to push them forward on their adventures."

"Yeah, well, my fiance is the blacksmith here in town, and I don't want to go off to sea and die on him." Sonja shrugged, then looked up at the ceiling and changed the subject. "We should get this done- I've got other things to do today."

[Anomaly]

"I'll do it. You go do your other stuff. I rather not have you injure yourself further. I can take a few more cuts and falls. You probably can't." Sinbad looked at her worriedly, his knife still in his boot.

Sonja bristled at this, not liking what he was saying. She knew he was just trying to be helpful, but... well, it wasn't helping. "No," she said flatly, lifting one side of the reed mat she had been working on earlier.

[Anomaly]

"Sonja, go do what you have to do." Sinbad gently took the mat out of her hands. "I got this, go on." He wasn't going to tell her how he was going to do it.

"No," said Sonja again, more firmly. "I'm going to help, whether you like it or not." She took the other side of the rush mat and looked up at Sinbad, then had to cover a smile with one hand as she realized how ridiculous her statement had sounded.
