Jay laughed and said "We'll see!" before turning X-Caliber on a dime and taking off in the other derection. Silently pulling out her bow Jay slid an arrow into place ready for anything. It was winter so there was nto much and what was there was quite skinny. After one and half hours Jay managed to get three scrawny wood grouse. Lookig around Jay saw that it was starting to snow steadily. Pulling her clock around her Jay packed the grouse and started to make her way back to the tree. She did not know these woods very well yet so she thought it best to get back before she got lost in a snow storm.

Emerald turned around again, ignoring Frank as he continued calling. Relief, and a small hint of guilt as she heard his voice crack, washed over her as she heard him say he was leaving. She shuddered slightly as a gust of wind blew, making her bare calves get goosebumps. Looking up, she frowned. Storm clouds rumbled far off in the distance. She would still go out, but her time alone would be cut short. Not only was it snowing lightly now from the previous storm, but that one didn't look like snow, it looked like rain, cold wet horrible rain.

Chris smiled stronger now, beaming up at Emerald. "I should say I'm sorry, too, except I'm not," he admitted sheepishly. "Give me a few hours." He nodded when Emerald said she coming back tonight, and he turned and walked away, his boots leaving a clear trail in the melting snow. He nearly ran into Arowin and her friend, Jay. He smiled at Jay politely, but felt a twinge of jealousy. Less time Arowin would be with him. When Jay glared he laughed out loud. Maybe he could like her after all. He returned to Chase and spit on him, his sword at his side. He sat with Panic, on guard.

Prince Stephan rode Sinner into the crisp air, following where the guards had went. He hoped to find out what they were doing.

Emerald chuckled. "No apology needed, Chris." she replied and kicked Envy back into a canter. She didn't know exactly where she was going, but soon enough she found herself looking at the festival, the last real place she had been with Casper. Or rather, what was left of it. The vendors had started to take down their tents and the gypsies started to pack up their carts. Emerald watched for almost an hour, not even realizing she was crying. She didn't notice until she bent over on Envy's neck. Her fingers fluttered to the necklace again, her mind to Casper. She had trouble breathing again and sat up trying to fix it. But her posture wasn't what was causing that, and she knew it. She felt like someone had taken a shovel and dug her heart out. She was numb and devestated. Her body stopped shaking as the sobs stopped, but the tears still came. She was soon staring at empty city streets. If you looked into her, that's what it would look like. What lingered was the fearful ghost of depression and memories past.

Frank entered the castle, keeping to the shadows as much as possible he didnt want to run into anyone at this point. He diverted himself to a set of side stairs and went upwards, to the back hallways that led to his room. He collapsed on the bed, hands clasped together as he lent on his knees, he reached for a set of parchment and scribbled a small untrue map. It was perfect to the last detail apart form the fact it didnt show where the hood was, he screwed it up and shoved it into his pocket.

Guy paced in the throne room angrily. He had lost Frank's trail about halfway through the forest and had to turn back when the snow started. John wanted to see them in fifteen minutes and he had no idea where Frank or Sheriff was. Worry joined in on the anger and he scowled to himself.

Arianna smiled and walked around the castle courtyard. Kyle was asleep in his crib, finally, and she was enjoying a few moments to herself. She contemplated taking Kyle out to see the village but decided against it till she had talked to John and organized it properly. She wondered over to the stables and stroked her mares long white face serenly.

Arowin sat astride Ace deathly still with arrow notched in place and ready to fire. She had waited some time before she spotted a boar. She wished down that she had asked Jay to come with her. Boars where too good an opportunity to miss but they were very dangerous to both horse and hunter. She contemplated turning back for help but I stead she shot the arrow into the boars chest. It squealed and charged at her and her grey mount. She swung Ace to the side to avoid those razor sharp tusks and cantered off wig the boar following. She twisted on his back till she faced the quarry and fired arrow aged arrow into the sage hoping that it was wounded enough. The pig slowed and she jumped off Ace, dagger in hand. The boar charged her and she side stepped a second too late but managed to drive the dagger into the prey's chest killing it. She glanced down at the gash on her leg and grimaced slightly. She pulled the dagger out of the boar and gutted it quickly before swing the heavy carcass onto her saddle. She then lead Ace back even though her leg stung.

Chase lunged at Chris and his horse but the bonds held him just out of reach.

Jay arrived back at camp just before Arowin. When she saw the boar she through up her hands and said "why d I even bother any more." Then she saw that Arowin was limping from a bloody gash on her leg. Jumping off X-Caliber jay ran over and said "you should have come and got me." Calling X-Caliber over Jay got the boar off Ace and onto X-Caliber and then she helped Arowin into Ace's saddle. She then led both horses up the ramp, unloading the boar and grouse into the kitchen and then leading Arowin to the supply room where she grabbed some thread and a needle.

Arowin laughed. "You know I'm too proud to call for help." she said greatfully. She sat down and proper her leg up. She pulled a face as she looked over the gash. It wasn't too bad but would need to be stitched up. Arowin sighed, "Ohh well, another wound to add to them all. At least we eat well tonight." she said with a smile.

Jay sighed heavily, returning with the needle and thread she offered them and said "you clean I cook?" this was her saying that she would deal with the food and Arowin could stitch herself up and do whatever else she wanted. Jay grinned at Arowin and said "I was always the better cook you know."
