The left side of Sonja's shirt was stained crimson with blood, and she couldn't feel anything around the area where the bullet had hit her. She assumed that was a bad thing, but right now, the only thing she could say was, "Ruined my best shirt."

Ingo smiled at Sonja. "It'll wash out," she said, so glad that she was alive. Ingo was sort of laughing and crying at the same time. She smiled at Sonja and held her hand tightly.

"Not blood," said Sonja, opening one violet eye and putting on a pained grin. "And I'm pretty sure bullet holes won't wash out, either." The girl grimaced as she tried to move, realizing that the damage to her side was far greater than she had though. Sonja was lucky that she had been standing slightly sideways, and that William didn't have that great of an aim. Any closer to her ribs, and she would have been dead by now. She lifted her hand from her wound and glanced at it, frowning at the blood on her palm. Then she coughed, and grimaced. "The doctor lives two blocks down and four blocks west," she said. The eye she had opened closed, and the girl passed out. It wasn't so much the blood loss as it was the shock from being shot.

Ingo nearly swore at point, she knew the girl had only passed out but the doctor sounded quite a way away. Ingo looked at Liam as if to ask help. Ingo wasn't a very strong girl and they were gloing to have to lift Sonja or support her in some way if they were to get to the doctor quickly.

Liam got to his feet and turned to Alexa, saying gruffly, "Stay here. I'll run for the doctor- keep an eye on my brother, too." He wasn't one for words at a time like this, so instead he set down his steel bar and trotted out of the door, breaking into a full-on sprint down the block. He skidded around the corner and headed down, tiring out after another two blocks and trotting the rest of the way. He pounded on the doctor's door, and was surprised when a tall woman opened the door. "Yes?" she asked politely, hands on hips. She was middle-aged, maybe forty or forty-five, with premature streaks of silver in her brown hair. "Are you Doctor Clemmens?" asked Liam, breathing hard. "Yes?" said the woman, but the end was inflected, like a question. "Miss," said Liam, gasping for air, "There's been a bit of a fight in town. One dead, one shot, the other unconscious and tied up."

"Hold on Sonja, we're just getting the doctor," Ingo said, she was probably more worried than Sonja was. Ingo had been hurt before but she was so poor she couldn't get a doctor, she ahd been so scared that day but that's when William found her. Ingo's face was angry and dissapointed, she wished Will hadn't turned into such a rotten apple, he could have ended up real nice.

The woman flinched and hurried into her house, grabbing a black leather bag and pulling on a light jacket before rushing out again. She was faster than Liam, and made it to the Raven's Nest before he did. "Goodness!" she breathed when she saw the carnage. Glancing at the girl, she said, "Did you see exactly what happened?" Waiting for her reply, Dr. Clemmens knelt by Sonja's side and handed her a stick that she had pulled from her bag. "Bite this," she said, and Sonja gave her a dirty look. "Not on my life." The woman snarled, "Just bit the go**amn stick!" Sonja hesitated, then put the stick in her mouth and bit down. Quick as a flash, the woman grabbed a pair of metal pincers from her bag and jabbed them into Sonja's wound, fishing for the bullet fragments. Sonja squealed like a stuck hog and nearly bit through the stick, but the doctor had the fragments out before sthe pirate could remove the stick from her mouth and begin swearing like a sailor. Which she did. Liberally.

Ingo giggled uneasily at Sonja. It was good to see her up and about again but awful to know this was only through pain. Ingo looked at the girl and smiled. "Thank You so much," she said to Dr. Clemmens. Ingo was toonervous and worried to say another word. her eyes were glad, they were shinig but not brightly, Ingo for the time-being was fairly content about the new turn of events.
