Finnick is tall, 6'3 to be exact. He has dark blonde hair that he tends to keep kinda long. He almost always has a little stubble on his face. He doesn't like it when he's clean shaven. He has these deep blue eyes that are always calculating, always looking for options, no matter what the situation. His father is a banker on the east coast, so he doesn't have much of a tan because he didn't grow up as a farmer's son. He's kind of pale compared to everyone else around these parts. However, he is still pretty well muscled. Being from the east coast, Finnick doesn't really have a lot street smarts, but he's very book smart. Finnick is always seen wearing his boots, with spure, and a pair of jeans, a pistol on each hip and a knife hidden in his boots. He wears a simple button down shirt with a long black trench coat and a black cowboy hat.

He can be such a flirt at times, but he always is thinking of the one he really loves, the one he can and will commit to. He's patient, and very kind and caring. [Awesome, accepted.]

"Nah, miss, that's alright," replied the man with a smile. He pushed himself off of the wall and turned to leave. As he walked past her towards the door, though, he paused and put on hand on her shoulder. He was taller than she was, so he had to lean down in order to murmur in her ear. His voice was silky soft, and it still had a cheerful quality to it as he said "I've come all the way from New York, miss. Your prostitute act needs work." He pulled away from her and tweaked the tip of her nose between two fingers with a charming smile. Then he tipped his hat to her and said, "Good evening, ma'am." The door closed behind him and he took the reins of his black gelding, leading him around the side of the hotel. The girl had been lying, obviously; Jack had never set foot in that building. However, William O'Hara knew just where to find him. The girl would probably follow him after being insulted like that, but she didn't need to know who he really was. Jack Aubrey had never actually met him in person, either, and photographs of the legendary Black Billy were rare, if they existed at all. He was like a phantom, leaving no traces. Nobody knew what he looked like, what he sounded like, nothing. He was better than invincible, better than immortal. He was clever. Oh, he was so very, very clever.

-Emerald Antoinette-
Emerald just glared up at him. If looks could kill, he would probably be dead right about now. "I wasn't going for prostitute." she snapped back quietly, not saying anything else as she watched him leave. No doubt the man would keep looking for Jack, but what for? That was something Emerald was determined to find out. But first, she needed to put her stuff down. As quick as possible, she hurried up the stairs, unlocked the door to her hotel room, and then just dropped her tack on the chair in the corner of the room. She started to walk out of the room, intending to go to the stables, when she realized the man would probably see her. Then he would follow her, he would find Jack, and then only God knows what would happen after that. So instead she opened the window and stuck her head out. The window faced the side of the building, and go figure there was a cart of hay waiting to be taken to the stable. After taking a deep breath, Emerald jumped from the window, biting her lip to keep from screaming as she plunged into the cart. Once she landed though, she let out a laugh. That was actually kind of fun. After retrieving her hat and brushing the hay off her she hurried around back and into the stable, being careful to make sure the suspicious man didn't see her. She hurried through the stable until she found Jack, a worried expression on her face. "Someone's looking for you." she whispered. "Said he was your brother, but he looked mighty suspicious."

Jack was a bit startled when the woman whose horse he had shot crept up behind him without warning, but when she began spouting off nonsense he relaxed visibly. Either she was stupid, which didn't seem likely, or a bit delirious with grief. His name was common; she had probably overheard something in the hotel. He decided to play along, just to see where she would go with it. "Shady?" the man said, setting down the brush he had been using and picking up a hoof pick. "That sounds like my brother. What all did he say to you, exactly?" He shot the girl a quick glance to let her know that he was listening, and then tapped Rowan's left front leg to let her know that she needed to lift up her hoof in order for him to clean it out.

Talking To:...
Horse:Apache
A.K.A:Black Hawk

--Elizabeth--

Elizabeth heard them talking down the aisle. She sat quietly, listening intently. She sighed quietly inwardly and watched her horse nible at the little oats she had given him. The women closed her eyes again to hear the coversation better, something about a brother? Shaking her head, Elizabeth opened her eyes and silently unsheaved her knife, polish the blade with her rag.

-Emerald Antoinette-
Emerald sighed aggravatedly and crossed her arms, shifting her weight. He didn't seem at all concerned, not in the least. "He told me to go ask at the front desk for you, instead of just asking himself. Said he was from New York. Also said he was sent by your parents to come and get you because supposedly you got into a fight them." she replied, clearly annoyed. If he didn't want to believe her, then fine. He didn't have to believe her. But if something bad happened to him, and she ever saw him again, she would definitely take the time to say "I told you so." But, just in the very off chance that this whole story was true, she decided to ask "Now, were you the older one, or was your brother? He told me but I just can't remember." She did remember, very well in fact, that William had said Jack was the younger one. But Jack wasn't there, so this really would be the trick question that determined if this whole thing was a lie or not. She just looked at him from under the brim of her hat, glaring, her gaze taunting, as if to say "I know you're lying, just answer the question so I can prove I'm right."

[Just as a side note, Billy never told Emerald his name.]

Jack listened to the woman she she talked about this man she had spoken to, cleaning out three of Rowan's hooves before she finally finished. "Yeah," he said, concentrating on the last hoof. He let the sentence hang there for a moment while he finished, and then the man stood up again. He ran a hand down his mare's side as he walked to the tool rack and hung up the hoof pick. "Max- his full name's Maximilian, isn't it ridiculous? Anyways, he was always the golden child. He got our dad's looks and our mum's brains. I just got a thick jaw and hair that grows too fast." He shrugged, making things up on the spot and rather enjoying it, too. "My dad and I never got along. He wanted me to become a businessman, and I wanted to go west, maybe try my hand at searching for gold. We had a fight. He said if I walked out on him, he'd disown me. I told him to prove it." Jack shrugged, stepping past Emerald in order to shut and secure the stall's door. Then he leaned against it, crossing his arms.

Emerald was already on the outside; he had been speaking to her over the pen's wall. When she asked him what order his fake sibling came in, Jack was dumbfounded. Obviously it was a trick question. Hazarding a guess, he added, "Max is my older brother. Like I said, always our dad's favorite." He hoped that he had gotten it right, but even if he hadn't, he could still just laugh it off and admit that he had no idea who Emerald was talking about. It wasn't like some stranger could do him any harm.

(I know, I just felt like typing out "that man" every time she mentioned Billy was kind of awk lol.)

-Emerald Antoinette-
Emerald listened carefully, her eyes still narrowed as she leaned against the wall. She was starting to get a little annoyed, more at herself than at Jack. Maybe she was just on edge from everything that happened today. Maybe William hadn't actually been suspicious and she was looking for something to get her mind off Diablo. She was about to apologize and say she had to go when Jack hesitated. It was only for a brief second, something that most people wouldn't pick up on, but he still hesitated. She smirked ever so slightly, a knowing glint in her eye. But something still didn't add up. Why would Jack lie to defend William's story? It just didn't seem right at all. Smirk gone, she narrowed her eyes again. Why wouldn't someone just tell her what the hell was going on? "Mhm. Alright then, Mr. Jack. I'll just go find your brother and let him know you'll be waitin' for him. He did seem kind of worried now that I think about it." Her offer was more of a dare, a challenge.

"I think," said Jack, standing up straight, "That you should stop challenging me. You keep giving me these looks, like you think you're some queen bee. Well, listen here. There's no hive, and there's no queen." He walked past the woman, giving Rowan a final pat on the nose. "So stay out of my business." He didn't know why he was trying so hard to defend the story of a man he didn't even know, but something told him that it was important. What Emerald had told him about his past was more or less true, give or take a few important details. Yes, his father disowned him. No, he didn't have a brother. But he did have a sister, and she was missing. Anyone who knew about his past might know where he could find her, and even if they didn't, they might be an old friend. Willing to help. Jack opened the stable door and pushed through, the let it shut. He paused for a moment to check that his gun was loose in its holster, then rounded the corner and walked up the front steps of the hotel. A man was standing out front, hat drawn down over his eyes. In his hands were the reins to a beautiful black gelding, who was stomping almost nervously at the ground.

"Hello, Jacky boy."

The man's voice and accent were unfamiliar, as was his face when he lifted the brim of his hat. He could have been anyone. "Hello, Max," Jack replied. "Long time, no see. I hear you've come all the way down from New York just to fetch me home."

The man grinned, then replied, "That snoopy girl filled you in, yeah?"

Jack shrugged. He wouldn't have described Emerald as 'snoopy'. Not directly, anyways.

"Jacky, you and me need to have a talk. In private."

Jack lowered his voice and growled, "I haven't seen you in years, Max. What makes you think I want to go anywhere with you?"

The man tilted his hat back down again with a nonchalant shrug. "Oh, I dunno, Jacky boy. Family business?"

-Emerald Antoinette-
Emerald glared at Jack, standing up straight herself. "I don't think I'm any kind of queen." she snapped back. "I just think--you know what? Whatever, you obviously won't give two coins what I think." She almost pushed Jack as he walked past her, but knew better and didn't. Shaking her head, she stormed out of the back of the barn and back to the hotel, not paying attention to anybody, even the lady at the front desk who politely said hello. Once she was back in her room she shut the window and started pacing the room, arms crossed, boots clopping on the wooden floors. She didn't know why she was so upset and so angry. Probably a little bit of what happened with Diablo, a little bit of what happened with Jack and William, and a lot of just being plain ol tired. Finally she collapsed into the bed, letting her aching body rest. She was oh so tired, but no matter how hard she tried to fall asleep, she couldn't.
