Diena stood up and walked to the rail and flicked her braid off her shoulder. She grabbed the rail and looked down at the water as it lapped at the wood of the . Smiling, she turned around and looked up at the crow's nest, golden-brown eyes flashing mischeviously. She started to climb up the rigging, dashing to one side and hidding behind sails and masts as she went. Her footsteps were like whispers on the wind, silent to anyone without a keen ear. She popped her head over the edge of the crow's nest.
"Hello Alexa!" She smiled and tilted her head playfully.

Milo had his dagger out and at Diena's throat before he realized who it was. "Oh, a good mornin' to ye," he said casually, leaning against the wooden rain of the crow's nest and cleaning under his fingernails with the dagger. "Lovely weather we've got this fine day, ain't it?"

"Hello Diena." Alexa said. "Best go manage the new comers." She said. She climbed down and went to Ella. "I want you to talk to Milo. We can't have you guys hating each other." She said.

Ella frowned. She climbed to the crow's nest. "Milo." she said, looking over the ocean.

"Ella," replied Milo, still picking under his fingernails. "What are you doing up here? I do believe that I was the lookout today."

"Yes, and I do believe Alexa sent me up here to become friends with you. Now, we know that'll take quite a bit of time. So we're just gonna act like friends." Ella said. "She's looking, act like you just told a funny joke." Rlla hissed. She started Laughing,but kept an eye on Alexa, so she could know when stop.

Alexa smiled her approval.

Milo grinned, then spoke with a smile, as though saying something funny. "I'll tolerate you sharing my job, but I don't want you getting in my way."

"I won't get in your way, as long as you don't get in mine." Ella said. She smiled and patted his shoulder. "See ya later." She said. She climbed on deck and went to the crews quarters.

Milo watched her covertly until the girl went belowdeck, then leaned against the rail and looked up at the sky. It was a fine day, sunny and clear, but not quite blistering. In the summer, the sea could sometimes become maddening, with nothing around but sparkling water.

Diena crawled down to the deck. Flicking her blade up in the air, she walked over to Alexa.
"How's the ship? Longing for the ocean bottom yet?" She joked.
