Zara bit her lip again, which was now very sore. She blinked away tears and breathed. She was unable to speak, for she didn't trust her voice. Instead she looked into his sympathetic eyes and tried to smile. It was probably shaky and distorted, just as it felt. It was okay, though.
"Thank you." She said after a while, getting up. She almost knocked her plate over in doing so, but she steadied it and turned to him.
"I need some time alone for a bit. Many of my forgotten dreams have resurfaced. I don't want to hurt you or anyone in their quake of fury and nightmarish proportions. I'll see you in a bit." Zara gave him one last smile, kissing him lightly on the cheek before walking away. Sobs shook her body as she opened her second floor door into her room. She sat on the bed, looking through her dream sketches.
I'll show him these. My pictures of long lost memories. I've never even looked at them twice myself until now. As they resurface they seem to draw me to this notebook. She thought through her sobs. Visions impaired her sight, matching each picture's story.
