Phoebe smiled at Alex. "Hey, what's up? We're heading, well at least I'm heading, to the GameStop by my house. James, are you coming?" She looked at James and hoped that we would come along with them. Then maybe they could all play some games at her place.

"Alright, that sounds cool." I said, looking behind me and pulling out my phone to check the time. 2:43. I glanced over at James, wondering if he would go with us. The more people to come the more fun it is. "Nice board, by the way.." I said to Phoebe, looking in her direction.

Phoebe nodded. "Thanks, you too." She flipped her board around so that Alex could see the underside, which had a variety of spray-painted pictures like bubbles, video game characters, ice cream cones, and bows. "A friend did it custom for me." She bragged, looking down at the colorful images. "Are you goofy or regular?" She asked, turning her gaze back to Alex.

I chuckled. The term 'goofy' just made me laugh. "Well, I'm goofy, but I've been practicing regular for a while. I wanna get used to riding regular." I smiled, my hair back in my eyes. I groaned, literally combing my hair back with my fingers until it was out of my eyes. But it was poofy at the top. It looked quite strange, actually. "Ah, how about you?"

Phoebe giggled. "Same here. I get it from my dad, who's also goofy-footed." She looked back at the Starbucks about a block away where everybody was leaving. It seemed like the planning was pretty much over. She wished that Tai hadn't gone to the mall with Maribel and the others. It wasn't like she was uncomfortable around boys or anything. Heck, she had been around boys her whole life living with two brothers. Phoebe just wanted to be with her best friend. She looked back at Alex and smiled, squinting in the sun.

I saw Phoebe looking back at the coffee shop, wondering if she was waiting for someone. I could sense her uncomfortableness. "Anything wrong, Phoebe?" I asked, scratching my head and raising an eyebrow. I'm pretty good with noticing small little things like that; I don't know where I get it from. Maybe I pay attention to much?

Phoebe shook her head, looking down. She pulled her phone out again and sent a text to Tai.

[Alex just got here and I wish u were here too... Hurry up and shop or whatever so we can hang out woman!]
From: Feebs' Phone

Phoebe tucked her phone back into her pocket and looked at Alex. "Sorry, just texting Tai." She tugged on her black beanie again, sort of a bad habit of hers. She wore it all the time, even in summer, and she was always touching it or pulling on it in some way.

"So what games are you hoping to buy? If you don't got the money, I do.." I insist, pulling out a couple hundred dollars and handing it to Phoebe. "You're welcome."

Phoebe stepped back. "Thanks, but I can't let you give me 200 dollars. I've got cash." She raised her eyebrows. "I was hoping to buy Beyond Two Souls, and it's only like 60 bucks." She chuckled awkwardly and twirled her skateboard around in her hands.

"Well, yeah..but you should keep it! I'm feeling nice today." I chuckle, holding up the 200 dollars and stuffing it in her front pocket. I laugh, holding my hands behind my back so she can't give it back. "Really, I insist! I don't need it, anyways."
