To put this simply as possible, Roman had eventually been able to find his schedule, but a bit too late for him to actually make it to class on time. And so he had just opted to skip that class. I know, probably not the best thing to be doing on the first day of school. But it was just this once.
And now here he was, sitting outside awaiting the arrival of his newfound friend. At least, he hoped that this would be the start of a friendship. It was always nice to have friends, just in case he needed people on his side if something were ever to go down. That had actually happened quite a few times back at his old school.
Upon hearing the familiar voice, Roman glanced up from his phone. Clicking out of Twitter and slipping the phone into his pocket, he gave a quick smile.
"Don't worry, it's fine." he replied, his heavy Russian accent making itself more than present as it usually did.

I point my remote at the screen, pressing 'play'. The next episode started.
I glance at Lauren.
'Damn it, just kiss her already!' I was screaming at myself.
I'm.
'Do it."
Going to.
'Do it."
Do it.
I turn Lauren's face towards mine, and we lock eyes for a brief moment before I lean forward and kiss her.

Lauren faced Scott again just before he kissed her, her face flushing a bright red color. She pulled away after a minute, her heart pace quickening. "........... Scott, I-" she tried to think straight, but couldn't quote do it correctly.

I gazed at Lauren, but lowered my head as soon as I heard her reaction.
"I'm sorry... Was it too soon? I-I'm really sorry..." I buried my face into a pillow to hide my embarrassment.

Lauren started to freak out - did she make Scott feel embarrassed? "N-No! I just wanted to admit that I, uh.... Really like you." she said, biting her bottom lip. She felt her heart pace even faster, making her feel faint.

Scott lifted his head a bit.
"You... like me?" Scott asked, surprised. He thought that he was the one crushing on her.
He felt his face heat up as he tried to make the words come out.
"I... Uh... um... I really... um..." Scott couldn't manage to find the right words.
He took a deep breath.
"Lauren."
"I like you too." He finally managed to choke out.

Lauren felt herself smile. "I'm so glad! I thought you'd hate me forever if I told you!" she said, sighing a breath of relief.

Scott felt himself heave a sigh of relief.
"Honestly, Lauren, who could hate you?" I smile at her before putting my arm around her shoulders again.
