Milo awoke slowly, opening one eye painfully. He couldn't open the other at all- it felt like something sticky had plastered it closed. It was probably blood. He couldn't see anything in the darkness, but it felt like he was sitting on a wooden chair. He attempted to wipe away the blood with one hand, and rough fibers scratched his wrists. He arms and legs were tied to the chair.

Liza looked at James. "I am stressed, but that hardly seems like a reason to kiss me."

Rose looked at the girl who had shouted Milo's name. She walked out of the shadows and up to the girl. "Hello." she said in a soft voice.

Rupert went and looked for the captain.

Milo snarled at the shadows, "Show yourselves! I know you're there!" The pacing footsteps halted, and suddenly a fist slammed out of the darkness to hit Milo in the stomach. He tried to double over and wheeze for air, but the chair tipped forwards and he ground his face into the worm-eaten deck.

"Nothing for you to worry about." Ella said sweetly. She heard a crash from below deck and jumped. She knew it was Milo being beaten.

James smiled. "Your looks help." He said, dropping his hands from her waist.

"Oh no! that boy that was looking after you is being hurt!" Rose whispered sharply before running off to find her grandfather.

"Well thank you James." Liza said stepping back awkwardly. "So lets go find Ella"

Rupert found the captain and was told to go and watch the pirate they had captured the other day. He went down to Ella's cell. He sat on the bench infront of it.
