((I'm just teasing. ^^ Glad to see MORE posting than none. ^^ Oh, and for my own sake, Bentley is with Alex and them. xD I already started writing with him grouped with them. ;n; Oh, and don't take offense to my post. xD Bentley is a total prick. xD He's totally oblivious to how even simple relationships (like everyone become friends) work...))

A crowd had seemed to gather around the elevator in the few short moments the boy had been waiting for its arrival. Not paying them much attention, Bentley waited patiently for the dang thing to finally reach their floor, hands in his pockets. Shifting his weight from toe to heel, toe to heel, the brunette watched as the light showing what floor the elevator was on come closer and closer to the floor he was stationed on. He supposed having to go up a thousand floors or so would consequently take this much time, but still, he was beginning to become agitated. Most of his irritation was stemming from the rest of the assassin’s goofing off and trying to get to know each other around him. ’Elite? Please… This is pathetic…’ the boy scoffed to himself, rolling his eyes indignantly.

Finally, the stupid contraption had arrived. A high-pitched bell rang through the air, and the doors promptly parted, revealing a large 20 by 20 space. Without hesitation the solo assassin stepped into the elevator, and was the first to the controls. His eyes jumped to the bottom of the button panel, where the basement would be located. He found the button without much delay, and glanced up, waiting for the rest to get their acts together. They were all chatting, seemingly oblivious to the elevator awaiting them. Narrowing his eyes at their incompetence, the boy nearly departed to the basement alone, how he would have preferred. Before he got the chance, though, the students were pushed into the elevator. Keeping still, the boy eyed them with contemplation, trying to decide his opinion of his new “network-mates.” Not taking the time to figure out his opinion, Bent turned away and pressed the button.

The doors closed nearly immediately, and the elevator began hurtling downward. The machine was dropping at a breakneck speed, but it would still take a minute or so before they even reached the basement. Bentley crossed his arms in a guarding manner, faced away from the students and toward the doors. His fingers drummed against his arm restlessly, wanting to escaped the presence of so many he saw more as competitors. No matter where he stood on the issue, these were apparently the best of the best, and so indirectly competition to the 18-year-old. It put him on edge, as he was all too familiar with the theory to never underestimate your opponent. No matter how cocky and narcissistic the boy could be defined as, he was not stupid.

The bell couldn’t have rung at a better time. The elevator had finally reached the basement, luckily before Bentley had exploded on these assassins for acting the way they were. He was unaware of how people actually operated, that they had no problem forming friendships and relying on one another. That was one thing he was doubtful to ever learn. It was too much weakness for him to take on, even if a small part of his wished he could. The doors parted at the sound of the bell, and Bentley was the first to exit. His hands fell to his sides, and soon slid into his pockets. The group that had descended earlier was gathered around the cars, seemingly just waiting for god himself to strike down a bolt of lightning and tell them to enter the vehicles. ’How did I get stuck with these people…’ he complained, walking right on through the group.

Bentley made his way to the front car, and lifted a hand from his pocket in order to open the door. The assassin hopped in, not bothering to shut the door. Two more would have to join him, so no point in just making them open it up again. The boy crawled over the seat next to the door he had opened, and to the one that sat beside it; no way was he sitting in the back. Situated, he adjusted his hat and peered out his window, waiting for everyone else to get in the cars so they could leave.
