rowan returned the girl's wave after a second, before realizing that she'd already looked away. he sighed and hiked his bag up his shoulder and cut across the room with his head low, not wanting to interrupt anyone's conversation by walking through the middle of it. he picked a random unoccupied room, glancing out the window at the view. of course, rowan managed to pick one of the rooms that faced away from the beach, pointing instead towards the scraggly, sand-choked grass and the path that lead to the house. he shrugged it off; the view didn't really matter that much anyways, he reasoned. not bothering to unpack his stuff, rowan returned to the main room, figuring that it'd be best to get introductions out of the way quickly.
"i'm rowan," he said softly during a brief silence.

Stevie stepped out of her cab in high spirits, it had been awhile since she had visited her old partying grounds. Summer Beach was basically her second home while she was attending college. Stevie grabbed her bags from the trunk of her taxi, she thanked and paid the driver before walking off into the lobby of her temporary living space. With her backpack over her shoulder and suitcase in tow, she made her way into the lobby. There were already some people standing around three guys and a girl, “Hey gang!” Stevie greeted from a distance, quickly joining the group. “I’m Stevie, it’s nice to meet you all.” She added on.

Elise smiled and stood from her place leaning on the couch, greeting Stevie with a wave. "Nice to meet you. Rafael, Rowan, Stevie" She pointed to each of them as she said their names. She was typically good with names and was unconcerned about forgetting any of them while they stayed together. With a small clap of her hands she said, "Great! I'm going to the beach. Anyone coming with?" she asked. Prepared as she normally was, she had preemptively put a swimsuit on underneath her normal clothes. She went over to go her luggage, unzipped a small zipper and pulled a bag from it containing a towel and sunscreen. Then she turned to the group, waiting for a response from any of them.

The sweet redhead hummed quietly as she began to unpack her things, trying to be quick about it. Sora yipped quietly at her, tail flicking gently then curling against his back once more. She smiled at her wholly focused dog, focused on her, and reached a hand to ruffle his pretty, floppy ears. She continued to hum and smile as she stood from where she was, stepping into the hallway. She saw no one there, so she headed back to where she’d seen others. “U-Um...I’m Jessica. My dog is Sora.” she said to the others.

rowan gave a slight nod to the girl with her dog, jessica was her name. he then turned to elise and, slightly emboldened by her unfazed attitude, gave a friendly smile (or, at least he hoped it was friendly).
"I'm down," he replied to the girl, glad that he'd remembered to pack swimming trunks. he ducked quickly into his room and unpacked what he'd need, for once somewhat excited for a group activity.

He greeted everyone else that started arriving and introducing themselves, though he shook his head when Elise mentioned going to the beach. "I'll stay here." Rafael said. He wasn't particularly in the mood to go out onto the beach right now... besides, he felt a little uncomfortable with it. He glanced a little warily at the dog that one of the girls had, then he refocused towards the rest of the group.

Elise smiled again at the rest of the group. "Alright. If anyone wants to join us later, I'll be down there for a while. Any of you are welcome to join." With that, she turned on her heel, and went up to where the boy had diappeared into a room. She knocked of few times on the door frame. "You ready?" She said, bouncing on the balls of her feet. She paused, thinking about Smores. Maybe she would make some tonight for the group if she could find a place for a fire.

The sweet redhead nodded back to Rowan, then tilted her head. She didn’t know whether she should join them, and no one else had said they were going with the two. Shrugging, she decided to put her swim suit on under her clothes, in case she wanted to swim, and just go walk around the house; explore with Sora. She noticed the look on Rafael’s face... “He’s a service dog.” she huffed, returning to her room quick after that. She hummed as she slipped on her swimsuit, putting her clothes back on over it and walking to her door.

he flinched slightly at the knock on the door, having just closed it moments before so he could change into his trunks. luckily rowan was beach-ready when elise knocked, but he still pulled on a shirt self-consciously at the last moment. after that he walked over to the door and opened it, running a hand through his already tousled hair before responding.
"yeah, i'm ready," he said with an awkward smile.

Stevie returned Elise’s wave with a warm smile. Stevie made a mental note of who was standing near her, Rafael and Rowan. It wasn’t long before another member of their group joined them, she had a dog with her. “Awe, cute dog!” She complimented, giving a little wave to Sora. Stevie smiled at Elise’s proposition, “I’ll join you as well.” She replied. Stevie was desperate to get onto the beach, it was her favourite place after all, and it held so many good memories, so she was glad that someone had suggested heading over there. The brunette grabbed her suitcase and found a vacant room, opening her suitcase she grabbed her swimsuit out. She quickly got changed and headed back into the lobby to regroup with the others.
