He rolled up the sleeves of his dark blue shirt - after pulling his hoodie off - up past his elbows. Ugh. He should have known better than to wear long sleeves and a hoodie to a hot desert. No matter. He had plenty of airy clothes in his suitcase, and shoes that would be more suited to the sand rather than his casual trainers. He'd also brought along a sketchbook with pencils, and a solar power bank - he'd carefully sneaked the latter into his suitcase. There was no way he was going without his phone. And what else were they meant to do for the next few weeks, aside from slowly roast under the sun? At least he wouldn't be too bored. Provided sand didn't get everywhere - probably the worst part about all of this.
Eventually, he looked up briefly... to see, just outside, and approaching was a somewhat familiar figure. Leo tilted his head to one side, curiously. As the figure was getting closer - and thus clearer to him - Leo's eyes lit up as he realised that he most definitely knew and recognised the figure. Perhaps this place wouldn't be too bad after all... well, it would be still awful, but slightly better now that he knew there was someone he knew was here - which was definitely quite the surprise.
Still, Leo couldn't quite believe his eyes. "No way." he said, "Elliot?" he asked, hoping he got the name right - and the person right. It would be embarrassing if he was a completely different person to who he thought.

Lovise felt dread seeping through her body as the armored black Rolls- Royce. She had wanted to come to America to party and get away from her royal life, not get sent to some "summer camp." Lovise looked desperately to her favorite guard but found his eyes were staring at the floor. She left out a huff of frustration, tugging impatiently at the skirt her mother had insisted she wear to "make a good impression." Lovise had begged and screamed at her mother when she told her that Lovise would be sending her holiday at a camp in the middle of the desert.
The car suddenly jolted to a halt as the entrance of the camp appeared and she knew there was no escape now. Lovise gathered her bags and was helped out of the car, her guards surrounding her as they marched towards the camp. She hid her fear and anger behind her brightly colored sunglasses as she walked in, appearing confident. In all reality, Lovise was terrified to be left alone for the first time, she had never known anything different than her body guards and entourage of people. She was about to finally be on her own and had no idea how to react. All Lovise knew, was that she was going to prove her mother wrong.

he chinese male had mainly been focusing his attention on the outside where he had heard voices, lost in his own reverie, when he picked up the boisterous and confident voice of his companion. It wasn't hard to figure out that he had not packed the right clothes for the desert, but he had made a good first impression either way. That was a good thing anyway. And from what he saw, the others did not either. That would come to bother him later, Winter was sure, but for now, he maintained his semi-formal yet somewhat languid posture.
Even from the first words his companion spoke, Winter was beginning to get the feeling that he had been placed with someone who clearly had an outgoing voice. Well, there went Winter's hope for quiet. Nonetheless, his calm, seraphic demeanor did not waver as he calmly took in the welsh male. His ebony eyes were half-lidded, which gave him an analyzing but somehow neutral appearance. He hoped to drive in the fact that he was not a talker, but more a listener. Who knew, you really could learn a lot if you remained silent, instead of driving all over the land with your voice. He had used to be that way.
Don't get him wrong, Winter always appreciated the occasional sarcastic remark, and the other male's comment about their new domicile brought a smirk upon his own features. Obviously, the scorching sun and gritty sand, which Winter knew was going to become a constant thorn-in-the-hide, was not the most pleasant thing in the world. The words were prattle to him, something to cut the tension. "Sure, we can settle on charming, if you prefer." He responded wryly, his lips curling up in the faintest of a dry smile, which surprised himself. Winter’s quiet voice was like the whispering of a cattail in a breeze, so at odds with his tent-mate. Gods above knew that he wasn’t the quickest to open up. He had been once, but after that incident bit him on the butt, he’d stopped being so social. What use was there to speaking if nobody was going to listen to you.
He looked down reflexively at his own shirt when the male brought up the clothing issue. Right, clothing. Winter was a painful narcissistic when it came to looking good. He was always on the prowl for the latest clothing brands, and he had a lot of insider deals, more than most in his age group. When the Chinese male had heard he’d been going away, he’d decided to go away looking good at least. ”Ah, thank you. You look stunning as well, probably better suited for the weather, I'd say." He could feel the oppressive heat even from inside the tent, and it made him bristle internally from discomfort.
Again, focused on his thoughts, Winter suddenly found himself being approached and offered a handshake by the roguish male opposite him. He ducked modestly, before introducing himself afterwards, "My name is Winter Chennith. Pleasure to be your acquaintance."
