Aspen

Aspen groaned hearing her counselor pound on the door. She hid her face in the pillow for a bit before pushing herself up out of the bed keeping her blanket wrapped around herself. As she got up she tried to fix her hair grabbing her tooth brush quickly brushing her teeth. She looked in the mirror making a face then forcing herself to smile, she walked back to her bed pulling her clothes out of a suitcase then putting them before going outside.

Oliver was the last out of the door. His group caught up with the girls.
He blushed when he saw Aspen. He pulled his hood on and tightened
the strings to try and hide his rosy cheeks, but several people noticed.
Already embarrassed and having been caught, he took his hood off. No
point in hiding it if people already knew. His face was no longer red but
he was still thoroughly embarrassed. What a great first day this was going
to be. Oliver strode ahead and arrived at the communal cabin first.

Ruby groaned internally when the woman in her early twenties, who she had assumed was the a councillor of sorts, woke them up. She had no reason to be frustrated, it wasn't like she had slept at all the night before. This had always been an issue with her, new places had a way of messing with the her head, taking control of her thoughts like the dark controlled the day. There had been one comfort that first lonely night, Badger had found his way to her, obviously knowing that once again her anxiety has taken control. Badger was good like that, he always knew what was going on in her mind better than she did herself. In many cases he was her saviour, the reason she made it through many long, cold nights, the nights where the fighting echoed through the lonely halls, the nights of unforgiving silence, the night where he father left and didn't return. He never did. But through all her tears, the boxer was there to comfort her, to keep her from screaming out, to keep her safe from the monsters in the dark. He had always been her best friend, truth was that he still is. God knows what she would do without him. That was one of her worst fears, losing the now fourteen-year-old dog who she had had most of her life. Of course, when he went she still had her horses but they couldn't climb into bed with her on those nights where her pillow wiped her tears, what would she do without him?

Finding that she had once again become a thoughtless slave to her own mind, Ruby found her self following slowly behind the rest of the teenagers that were spending their time at Camp...Camp whatever it's name is. Her eyes slowly landed on each individual in an attempt to decide who she would surround herself with, although there probably wasn't much of a choice seeing how few of them there was, it was better to make observations now then when it's too late. "I'm ready to go back home, Badge." her voice came hushed as she confided in the old dog who simply looked up at her and waged his tail slowly "I know." she agreed in a softer, sorrow tone as for no-one to here. She was the odd one out in her eyes and being different was something she always hated for herself.

Aspen

Aspen yawned noticing a guy with red cheeks she smiled at him and kept walking probably thinking it's something that just happens to him in the morning. She kept walking until she realized she had left bear in his crate she quickly turned to her cabin mumbling at herself "Aspen how could you forget about your best friend.." she rushed into the cabin grabbing his leash and taking him out putting his collar and leash on. She smiled at him since he was so excited to see her he started crying a little and hopping around she quickly took him outside to use the bathroom then cleaning up after him then taking him for a short walk back to where everyone was gathering. Aspen looked down at bear and whispered "You ready for your first day of camp bud?" she smiled and patted his head.

Ellis got up and rubbed his eyes he pet Thors head as he got up and sat down next to him. He got up and put on his boots. He walked out and caught up with the group. Thor followed, he trotted closely beside him. Ellis examined the rest of the group and then looked down. He hung in the back of the group. He didnt really want to be here but he was a little glad go be away from home. He didnt have to work and he could just be outside most of the time. He didnt have a phone or any electronic and he liked it that way. He smiled down at thor a bit and pet his head as he walked. Thors head was about mid thigh on Ellis

Oliver felt weird around all these people. He was relieved nobody
seemed to care that he had blushed when he saw Aspen. But it
showed him just how different this was. At his school and at the
other camp's he'd been to before, he would have been teased for
literally the entire rest of his time there. The head counselor was
standing in front of the group. She began to speak, but Oliver only
heard it in snippets. Something about her name (Alex) and the new
activities we would do. SHe talked about the rules (which Oliver
already knew) and then she talked about the first day, today. She
collected all of the electronic devices, telling people they would get
them between 8 and 9. Ellis didn't have one, so she just circled back
to the front of the group, a bucket of phones and tablets in tow.

"Alright guys. To the mess hall for breakfast, and then we need to
unpack. I know you didn't have a ton of time for that yesterday.
After that we have to be at..." She checked her list to see the
activity the kids would be doing first. "AH, be at the stables
half an hour after breakfast so that we can start our horseback
rides." Alex had the kids follow her into the mess hall where
they were serving oatmeal, cereal, bacon and eggs, and also
some pancakes.

Oliver grabbed a couple of pancakes and some
oatmeal. He wasn't very hungry but he knew
he had to eat, so he grabbed the most bland
foods for breakfast. He didn't really want to
be up and riding horses this early, but he
loved his horse Cappuccino and didn't mind so
much if he was with HIS horse.
Oliver didn't have any friends at Camp honor,
and he had nowhere to sit. He hoped someone
would call him over but at the same time was
praying someone didn't. Oliver began to slowly
walk towards the three tables. All had at least
one person seated at them. He kind of wished
he could sit alone for today. But he was at camp.
Might as well make new friends, I guess. he
thought. He slipped Kartoffel some pancake.

Aspen sighed after hearing that were gonna get breakfast but was annoyed since she had already brushed her teeth. She looked at bear and took him off his leash letting him run around a bit but not letting him stray off too far. She started to walk to the mess hall kicking some small rocks and sticks humming quietly until she arrived. She commanded bear to stay there until she came back. She walked in grabbed some bacon and eggs and rushed back outside sitting on the stairs eating her food sharing a bit with her companion. "I finally get to go see your brother today." She was excited as she was referring to her horse.

In the dining hall, KJ warmly greeted everyone that walked in, directing them towards the food. "Don't take too long, now! We've got loads scheduled for today. Make sure that you all wear appropriate riding gear for horse riding as well!" he announced, practically bouncing on his toes. It was early, and he was already radiating energy - he hoped that the campers would also start to be a bit more energised soon as well, because he really wanted everything to go well, and for at least some of the campers to get excited like he was.

Ellis walked into the mess hall, He made sure athor kept by his side; but as always Thor stayed right beside him no matter what. Ellis has had thor for 3 years now, he found him in a bag by a river he was horse back riding near. He was a scrawnt little pup but now Thor stood taller than most dogs his breed and is in great shape. Ellis walked over amd grabbed some food. He smiled a bit as he saw bacon and grabed more than usual. He turned on his heels and walked over to an empty table sitting down. He started to eat while occasionally taking drinks of thw sweet tea he had confront of his plate. Thor laid beside Elis's chair with his head on the foot waiting for Ellis to be done. He occasionally snuck food to Thor.

Oliver didn't feel like dealing with people, so he headed outside.
He pushed open the door for his dog and his face went red. "Crap!
Bad idea." He internally cursed himself for saying it out loud. Aspen
was outside too, talking to her dog. Kartoffel went over and said a
quick hello to Bear. Kartoffel barked and ducked into a play pose.
It was just like his dog to try and play with other dogs he didn't know.
Oliver took a deep breath in. "Hi, I'm Oliver." he said, extending his
hand towards Aspen."Mind if I sit here?" He wasn't sure if his face was
red or not, but he sure felt like it was.
