“River Andren Roldain, but you can just call me River.”
”Okay, and how old are you River?”
“I’m 18.”
“When is your birthday?”
“It’s on the 14th of August.”
“Where were you born?”
“I was born in Syzran, Russia but moved to Porthcawl, Great Britain six years ago.”
“And you’re male correct?”
“Uh, yeah.”
“What color is your hair?”
“It’s a dirty blonde, brown color I guess.”
“What color are your eyes?”
“They’re a shade somewhere between gray and blue.”
“How tall are you?”
“I’m 6 feet, 2 inches tall.”
“How much do you weigh?”
“I weigh roughly 135.”
“What is your body type?”
“Well, I’d say I’m rather thin, and most of the weight that I have is muscle.”
“What are you like?”
“I’m me. That’s not helpful is it? Well, I can be serious when the time calls, but I prefer being pretty wild, crazy, and free. I’m my own person and I like that about me. I don’t act like any one other person, I have too many conflicting actions. I enjoy parties and can always have a laugh. It’s hard for me to take things seriously sometimes, but when I know I need to buckle down I do. I am my own hardest judge. I make sure that I do the best I can do every time and give everything my all so it’s assured that I work hard. I also am pretty caring and protective and I am a total softie and cuddle bug. I can be kind of shy when you first get to know me, but then I’ll come out of my shell and am super out-going.”
“What do you like to do?”
“I like to do a lot of things. I love my music and so writing music, singing and playing guitar or piano are my favorite things to do. Although I love all music genres, my favorite would be the music I write which is its own sound. I also like to work out and play sports such as football, but half of the time I skip the gym so I can pick up my board and go surfing. I love to longboard and skateboard and they’re probably my favorite modes of transportation. I also have a love for horse-back riding. Partying is probably pretty high up on my list of things I like to do as well as goofing off though as they happen quite a bit in my lifestyle.”
“What are some of your least favorite things to do.”
“My least favorite things to do would probably be going shopping because although I have a pretty good sense of style, I just don’t like shopping much. I don’t like really strong scents of anything, they bother my nose and I get a headache. Speaking of headaches, I don’t like them either. I don’t particularly like being serious as I have too much fun goofing off, but I don’t have a problem with being serious. I don’t like people who are total jerks and who hate on people, stating your opinion is one thing, but hating is another. I don’t like getting up early either because I like staying up late.”
“What are you afraid of?”
“I’m afraid of failure, I think that’s my biggest fear. I am afraid of sharks, I’ve seen some pretty nasty stuff when surfing. I think that my second biggest fear would be hurting someone by accident. I don’t mean physically, I mean emotionally.”
“What is your dream?”
“I would love to make money doing something that I love. Being a singer is probably my biggest dream, but being a professional surfer would be pretty cool too.”
“What are some of your hobbies?”
”My hobbies would be writing music, singing, playing guitar, playing piano, surfing, skateboarding, longboarding, horseback riding, and if having fun was a hobby, that would be one too.”
“Can you tell us a bit about your past?”
“Well, I was born in Syzran, Russia and I grew up in Russia for the first 12 years of my life. I had been taught both Russian and English and could speak both fluently when we moved. I still can speak Russian, but not too many people in Porthcawl speak Russian so I don’t do it all that often. My accent is still pretty clear and people love it. We moved when my mother got a job in Porthcawl after she had divorced my father two years before. My father said he wanted nothing to do with me, so that was a pretty easy settlement. Soon after we moved, I learned how to surf and longboarding was introduced to me by my neighbor when she saw I liked to skateboard. I’ve always enjoyed singing and my grandfather taught me how to play guitar when I was young so music has been something I’ve always enjoyed doing. I learned to play piano around the age of 8 and have loved that as well, but guitar will always be my favorite instrument to play (aside from my voice of course). I think that’s pretty much a good summary.”
“What about your family? Can you tell us a bit about them?”
“Well, I lived with my father and mother in Russia until my parents divorced when I was ten. It wasn’t too hard on me, but it was on my little siblings because they liked my father more than I did. Now I live with just my mom, my little sister Zima and my little brother Shona while my older brother Alyiciah and my younger sister Vesna live with my father in Russia. I also count my pets as family and I have two dogs, a cat, and two lizards. My dogs are a male Pit Bull named Croi and a female Basque Shepard Dog named Aliana. My cat is a Russian Blue named Triton and my lizards are both Gold-Dust Day Geckos named Lakeland and Maritise.”
“Do you have a best friend?”“Yes, I have two. I think my best friends would probably be my neighbor Adriana Clarke and a guy who lives a little way down the road, Andrew Cox.”“What is your sexual orientation?”“Eh, straight though some people might say I’m gay because I can be so comfortable around guys.”“Do you have a crush or are you in a relationship?”“I don’t really have either one at the moment.”
