when i go to check my post this thing pops up saying i have to wait 5 minutes... At the top of my screen it says information. So i was wondering if that was normal?

Yes, this is normal -- the server's just a bit slow or backed up, so it can't process your posts at the moment. ^^ Just wait a minute or two and it should be fine again.

Just to add: You may want to bookmark your posts. It won't strain the server as much and you will be able to find things even with the server being slow.
