What is a Summer Event?

Hi, I'm wondering what to expect from this year's summer event? It will be my first time being present for it, and my second event ever (only having been playing regularly since May) as I've been a part of the Easter event this year.
Will there be similar token collecting? Or is it a different concept entirely?
Any information will be greatly appreciated!

The Summer event will be similar to the Easter one, just slightly more involved. 3 out of 4 of our yearly major events are token events; Easter, Summer Event, and Halloween. The last event, Advent/Christmas is instead an Advent calendar which is just daily gifts, and doesn't involve collecting any tokens.

The Easter and Halloween events are essentially the same besides theming, while the Summer event is the same basic idea, with its own unique theme every year. Same as Easter and Halloween it involved collecting tokens from a banner that refreshes every 20 min, but also involves a storyline, and rather than a single event page there will be a central location, like a town, with multiple other pages you can visit from there which have NPCs with different token trade-ins available and free gifts. More locations typically open up as the event and story progresses, along with multiple types of tokens; the ones from the banner as well as some from a location that opens later on that you can collect 1 token from every hour. Same as the other events there is new stuff every day, usually a free gift as well as new token trade-ins. Unlike the other token events though, some free gifts will only be available for a single day, so its important to make sure you are collecting them all each day as there is not always another chance to get them later. There are other little differences but if you've played any other token event before you've got the basics already.

2025 Summer event Outcomes thread - For an idea of the kind of daily releases to expect, and being familiar with the outcomes thread layout will be useful. When the event this year starts this is the best place to keep up with releases each day.

Past summer event image archive - This just archives the visuals and text from each event, as old event pages aren't accessible anymore. But you can use this to see what the event pages have looked like in the past.

All of these are found in the event discussions board, you can always look through there for other past event threads if you want, and it where you will find all of the summer event threads once it starts this year. The FAQ thread that goes up for the event will also be open for posting, so you can always use that if you have any questions during the event.
