2FA keeps getting turned on by itself

I have the 2FA setting turned off, but the site keeps turning it on by itself every so often and I have to keep turning it back off. This is extremely disruptive and only started in the past week. What do I do?

Another new thing that's been happening is that I try to log on once and then it says I've reached the maximum number of login attempts and I have to do a captcha. Despite it being my first time logging in for the day.

It happened again!
Attempt to log in > says I reached the maximum number of login attempts and need to do CAPTCHA > says I'm on a new device and need to do 2FA.

This is horrible to deal with because I was in a rush to get a pound pet and it pulled this nonsense. I'm NOT ON A NEW DEVICE! IM NOT TRYING TO LOG IN OVER AND OVER! I just want to log in ONCE and then be in!
