I’ve bought some shrinky dink paper and I want to make some keychains, and I had the thought of making some Chicken Smoothie themed ones! Only problem is that I’m not sure if it’s against the art rules or not? The short explanation for shrinkage paper is that you draw and colour an image onto the sheet of plastic and then shrink it in the oven so you can make it into a little solid keychain thing.
To do the thing I would like to do, I’d have to trace the Chicken Smoothie line art onto the paper and I don’t know if that’s breaking the rules or not. These two rules in particular I think would apply, but they both say different things so I’m not sure which it would fall under! I’d personally categorise it as fanart, but I don’t know if that’s the case or not.
It's okay to use CS pet and item images to make something like a forum signature or avatar, but you shouldn't change the colors and markings of the pets/items or edit in any items which don't really exist on CS.
I’m not looking to change the lineart or design of the pet(s) I want to make as keychains, and I guess making physical items is sort of like putting them in a signature, I’m not claiming the art as my own and will keep the Chicken Smoothie watermark on them.
However,
You may make fanart of CS images as long as you're not directly copying our lineart. Copying the design (colors and markings) onto a different lineart is fine as long as you give credit to https://www.chickensmoothie.com for the design wherever you post your image.
To make the keychains, I have to trace over the lineart, and that isn’t allowed here.
So, I’m not really sure which rule it would fall under, or if I am allowed to make keychain fanart in the first place haha! If it is against the rules I will not make them.
Thank you for reading, very sorry to bother anyone. :)
