how many tokens should I aim to save?

usually for events I wait until they're over to trade in my tokens as I don't want to run out before a fancy new release I really like comes out. I want to be able to get one of every pet I like, and prioritize getting one of every outcome afterwards.
however, my friend wants to trade token outcomes, so I want to try my hand at it asap!

does anyone know how many tokens it usually takes to collect enough to pay for every outcome? I'm aware that the amount probably varies, and that I won't get the right ones on the first go, but I want enough tokens to at least be able to litterswap my way to victory without feeling like I wasted opportunities to get outcomes I'd treasure. basically in order to see how many I'd have left over if I started spending them right now.

i.e if there were two trade-ins and trade 1 had two outcomes for 4 tokens each and trade 2 had three for 3 tokens each I'd need 17 tokens.

I know nobody knows yet for this event but any ballparks using previous ones as guesspoints?

Assuming perfect luck, you would need 98 coin tokens and 17 food tokens to get every pet so far if my math is correct, plus 15 more coins if you want all the items, too. Realistically, I'd say multiple that by 3-5 at least and then probably a good amount more by the end of the event.

In other words, saving too many is very unlikely to happen unless you're trading for tons of extras, so the answer would be "As many as you can get and you will almost certainly still need to rely on trades if you want everything."
