Store pet adoption date

Hey guys, short question - once a new set of store pets gets released it is not possible to buy the old set anymore, right?

Was it always like that? Because I went through my store pet folder ealier and noticed that one of the 2023 deers was not in the correct order but instead sat between the catfish lions who got released after the deer set.
Is it possible that this guy was adopted late..??

Probably a recreated pet, their adoption dates are the same as the original but the ID will be based on when it was recreated.

Oooh, thanks for the explanation! Never heard about this before, but now I wanna know what happened to this little guy so that he got recreated xD
