Flaw found in the multiaccounter detector

Postby Disgustedorite » Fri Mar 18, 2011 5:57 am

Hey, can't people use more than one IP adress and have one main account and several multi accounts, only using each one once and making new ones continuously? Or, maby, keep changing their IP adress like I do sometimes when it won't let me log out? I think the multiaccounter detector needs to be able to check people who keep getting one-sided trades, even from other IP adresses, but since not as many people would go to the trouble, it needs to be aproved by an admin for those to be banned unless it is super obvious.

Just a suggestion, though.

It already does this. One sided trades are flagged by the detector no matter what IP address it is from.

People one-side trade all the time for givaways/art trades/off-site trades. Do I look banned for giving somebody 3 pets for a custom pixel...box...pet...thing?

No. It's usually pretty obvious whether a one-sided trade is innocent or cheating.

the detection system doesn't ban anyone, me and Nick do. It is pretty obvious when someone is cheating, compared to someone adopting free pets from other players. The system only highlights the trades for us to look at.
