> 'truedates' are used to differentiate between a pet that was adopted during it's original release date, and one that was gotten through a rerelease, like the dec. 18 boxes during the christmas event. most users don't care about whether it's a true dated pet or a rerelease, but certain collectors or those who want it for the clout or other reasons prefer them!
>> 'list' pets, or rather, ex-list pets, were extremely rare and valueable pets that were put into an now discontinued list. most of these pets are either old, omgsrs, very sought-after pets, or a combination of the three. i recommend checking out the thread to understand more.
>>> a trade-up is when you offer something that is, objectively, worth less than the pet you're receiving. a trade-down is the opposite, you're giving the more valuable pet for a less-valuable one. here's a slightly longer explaination.
hope this helps!
