Closed species - Editable oekaki covers?

I have a question regarding closed species off-oekaki adopts: would we be allowed to post an off-oekaki adopt if the adoptable has a colored in cover?

ex.: a parasaurus adoptable would have premade editable cover artwork that shows a parasaur headshot complete with shading and highlights etc. all the off-oekaki artist has to do is color in the head shot to be the same as the adopt and post the adopt below.

So basically, every off-oekaki parasaur adopt would have a full oekaki headshot.

If you are referring to uploading an image from your computer onto oekaki, then no. Chickensmoothie has made it where images cannot be uploaded to oekaki to help prevent art theft. If you are talking about something else and I misunderstood what you were asking, please let me know and explain what you mean.

I think I understand what you mean, kirin. What you're describing is not allowed. The Oekaki rules were recently updated to add some clarification here and there, and one of the things they touched on was the fact that the Oekaki is NOT for displaying artwork made off of the Oekaki.

I do occasionally see one-off adopts that are posted with a headshot or something similar in the Oekaki itself along with the full body adopt in the first post, but these are allowed as long as the Oekaki art accompanying the piece is obviously not some 5 second scribble. The art in the Oekaki needs to show effort.

However, I don't think this is allowed for closed species adopts. In that case, they want the art done on the Oekaki itself. One off adopts are different, as they're just a single one off image that can be accompanied by additional art in the Oekaki itself.

I got really long winded there, but I hope that makes sense!
