"Non" refers to any of the ex-list pets here that have "non" in their names, so the Nonjewel, Noncoon, Nontag, and Nonswirl! They're called non-[blank] because they lack the feature after the non: Nonjewel doesn't have the Sunjewel's collar, Noncoon doesn't have the Coontail's striped tail, the Nontag doesn't have the Dogtag's dogtags, and the Nonswirl doesn't have the Moonswirl's swirl pattern.
