Hello c:
So I have a suggestion that I believe would make trading a whole lot easier. I'm not sure what to call it, but it would basically involve the exchange of pets (just like a trade) where there would be a separate page where users can post pets they want to trade away, stating what they want for the pet and if someone offers that pet/pets, then the exchange would automatically go through.
For example: I could post my non-swirl on the page asking for a Raven in return. Users that are then looking for a non-swirl can go onto the page and see what owners of one want for it (there could be a search option that lets you filter the pets if you have something specific in mind). If a user with a Raven wants to do the swap, they could simply press "exchange" and the pets would automatically be switched over.
So what's the need for this when you can simply trade for pets?
Certain pets are more rare than others meaning it can be difficult trying to find a user with one up for trade and even so you don't know what they would want in return. With this, you can search for the pet you want, and if someone has posted that pet you can immediately do the trade if you have the pet they want for it.
This would also save time with trading as some trades are left to rot.
However, I believe there should be restrictions on this so that it doesn't become too complicated or cluttered such as: each user can only put one pet up for offer at a time and you can only post rare+ pets as they are hard to find.
I'm open to further suggestions/constructive criticism!
*New*
Instead of the swap being automatic, the user should receive a notification telling them that someone wants to do the swap instead. Feel welcome to discuss this idea c:

^ Thank you so much for your support and advice! c:
I do definitely agree with you that having very rare+ may be better due to less lag. However, there are some pets such as the shima longtail or the august pps lion that are a bit difficult to find. Perhaps there could be a cut-off date for rares such as you can't post any after (2010?) so that there aren't recent rares being posted?

Support. I do NOT think the trade should automatically go through though.
An exchange page would be though. May help with the trade forum spam. (where people bump every 30 seconds)

back from small hiatus for a little while. would love WL trades.

Thank you FerrousFarron and R e d p a n d a for both of your support!
May I ask why you do not believe the trade should automatically go through please R e d p a n d a, just so I can improve my suggestion and perhaps find a solution to that? <3

YES, my thoughts exactly! I don't think it should be automatic, considering many people forget to update their wishlist, it could happen the same with this. If a user changes their mind and the trade goes through, it could be a really bing problem.
However, I think that if the site is able to support this project it would be a really interesting feature!!

Take this for example;
User A gets a sunpup for Dec. 18th, not knowing it's very valued. They see the 18th as a great time to try to get their dream pet! User A can easily decide, "I'm going to offer this pet for my dream pet! I'll post it there.".. But their dream pet may be very low valued in comparison to their dec 18th pet, like an 09 rare. User B sees this and knows it's very unfair to the sunpup, so goes through w/ that trade.
They would get very quickly swooped outta their high valued pet. At least with normal trading, you can actually wait before accepting and even go ask if the trade is fair.

Thank you also for your support!
I never even considered this, that makes sense and I definitely agree, I appreciate you pointing that out ^^
Perhaps instead you could receive a notification, just like a trade, that someone has offered to do the exchange?

Ah that makes sense, I never consider that either. Thank you for pointing that out as well.
Perhaps the same solution of having a notification when someone is interested in the swap?

I'd definitelly go for a notification. Maybe it could become a normal trade, so you'd receive it in the "trades" section. After that, it is just considered a normal trade, with each user being able to cancel at any moment.
Or something like this, I wouldn't really go into creating a new page just for these offers, considering not many users would benefit from it (newer users don't have old and valuable pets, or they might want to keep them, I don't know). So merging the offers to the trading centre would be quite handy ^^
