My Pets Are Guilt Tripping Me

I'm just so confused right now? I adopted this pet from the pound about 2 years ago, I've been trading pound pets to other people for years and I never remembered getting this message (although maybe it was because I was COPPA'd for a while?). Is the guilt trip really needed, though? I don't think the unexpected guilt trip was really necessary. I don't really see a purpose for this message?

I don't know exactly what the point of the message is; I agree that people like me with an overly guilty conscience can be really hurt by a message like this.

There's no way to exactly disable the message, but you can make a new Message Rule where:
If subject is like "A message from your pet" delete message

That way it will no longer notify you that you're trading a Pound pet. I don't know when it started doing it, it may possibly have been because you were COPPA, but this has definitely been around a few years.

you may turn off these messages by going to
my account --> private messages --> rules, folders & settings

so then you should see something like this:
    Image

where you see add new rule and If: under it
    Image

    fill it out like this

and click add rule, you won't see anymore messages like that now.

i'm not sure why you didn't get these messages before but it could of been because you were a COPPA user, like you said.
