Many sites and forums give you the ability to sort your bookmarked threads/pages. I would like the ability to sort my many pages of bookmarks by:
- date/time updated (which is what we have now)
- date added to bookmarks (much important, yes)
- alphabetical order
- date created (the thread's first post)
- and perhaps by the forum each bookmark is in (Ex: filter bookmarks by "Art Shops" board and easily find all art shops you've saved
I think it would also be useful to be able to filter bookmarks by the forum and sub-forum they're in.
This idea is completely separate from the Bookmark folders suggestion thread. It could be used as either an alternative or an enhancement to bookmark folders, or just a separate thing entirely since their uses are a bit different.
Is this possible? Should be rather easy, I believe. The only problem I can foresee is the site not having kept track of when you bookmarked a thread (since you added it before this was implemented), thus you'd have to go back and bookmark it again to get the timestamp to work. All feedback is appreciated.
