Help on Oekaki?

So I'm making a new adoptible and I know what kind of bg I want but im not sure on how to make it go behind the adoptible... Any help or tricks?

Make sure you always use the first layer for the background(or leave it completely blank).
If your lines and coloring are on layers above the original layer, you should be able to draw underneath it ^_^

Let me explain it with screenshots to make it a bit easier C:

When you first open oekaki, you have one layer;

This is the layer you will be doing your background on. Leave it be for now.

Create your adoptable by making new layers(you don't have to use more than one; I just like to separate lines from coloring. The important thing is that it isn't on Layer1.)

If you do it like that, you should be able to color behind it on layer1.

are you sure you don't have "Lock Alpha" on?
