Guides on images and posting them/giving them a link!

Okay, I have been noticing a lot of people asking about how to post various images in their signature, so I decided to make this little How-To guide for all of those questions c:
(Mods can delete if a topic like this already exists, sorry for any trouble)

Step One

Find the image you would like to add to your signature or to a post. For example, I would like to add this image by Spotty.

Step Two

Right click on the image and this menu should pop up depending on your browser. Click either "copy img url" or "properties" and just copy it from there.



It should be noted that for step two, on Firefox it is "Copy Image Location" and on IE you have to click "Properties" then manually copy the "Address (URL):"

with firefox the code is automatically in your clipboard if you click this

IE:

I have internet explorer, and I just click and drag the image to the top bar, then copy the link. cx

It works if you do that in Google Chrome too!

Step 3

When editing your post or signature (explained later) go above where you type and click the "img" button. This should appear:

Step 4

Paste the URL in between the brackets like so;

Step 5

There you have it! Your image should now appear!

Extra how-to on editing your signature!

Step 1

Click the "My account" button, it should be located under the CS header.

Step 2

Click the "Profile" tab, located next to "Overview"
(Sorry I have no image for this, but it's located unter the "my account" header thing)

Step 3

Click "Edit Signature" on the sidebar

Step 4

You're done! it's that easy c:

Another extra add-on; images linking to other URLs!

So say if I were to put this as what it would link to.
The normal link would be

But when I put it in there it would look

How do you get images from the internet on your avatar????

First of all, you want to make sure the image isn't copyrighted :3 (if the image is copyrighted, there'll be a little c inside a circle on the image or in the picture's description, etc). Next you want to save the image to your computer.

If the image is bigger than 100 x 100 pixels (100 pixels sideways or upwards) then you need to go to a art program and resize it. If your computer has 'Paint', then open Paint, open the image file, and then resize it or crop it so it's 100 x 100 pixels (I can provide pictures if needed).

After you have done that, go to My Account > Profile > Edit avatar and use the "Upload from your machine" option by "browsing" (there'll be a browse button next to the option) and select the image you want as your avatar, and then click "Submit". Ta-da ~ ^^
