Soooo, I have a odd problem that I'm not sure what to do with - I don't know if it's my computer, java, or oekaki messing up with this.
I use firefox and my laptop used windows 8.1

I am trying to draw a new background for my adoptable species on here, there are a lot of layers in the picture. But recently I can't get any progress done because it won't save. It'll save at first, but when I start working on the picture and I am duplicating layers/merging layers, when I click save it does nothing and it won't let me click it again. I can wait 2 hours and it still does nothing.

Once this happens also is that it won't let me do anything else. I try to click the merge layer button and it does the same thing as the save. I click from the tool button that moves layers to the pen, and it still tries to move the layer.

It doesn't give me any pop ups/warnings/anything when this happens. I have cleaned the catche over and over and that doesn't help. The screen looks fine but at the same time I can't get anything finished with this. I'm not sure what is going on but any help with this would be great. D:
So full of hate were our eyes
That none of us could see
Our war would yield countless dead
But never victory
So let us cast arms aside
And like discard our wrath
Thou, in faith, will keep us safe
Whilst we find the path

This happens to me too on my Macbook pro, and the way I fixed it was uninstalling jtablet. Kinda replacing one issue with another but at least that way you might be able to use it at all.

The problem could be that there are too many layers in your drawing, which usually causes lagging. You can either lower the number of the layer or switch to Chibipaint V.2, which fixes most of the bugs and issues. C;

Google chrome has been dropping support for java recently so try switching to Firefox. You can also try clearing your cache.

So, when I attempt to use oekaki, it stays at a grey screen and when I scroll, the top part drags down with it. Same when I go back up. It's lagging. thanks <3

my last post was on page 63 and someone told me to do this.

If I recall, this can be fixed by minimizing your browser, then maximizing it again. ^^; At least, that's what fixes it when it happens with me.

that didn't work at all. my java IS up to date and I have tried many different browsers like chrome and waterfox. it works for a bit, but then goes back to the grey screen. I really need this fixed! thank you!

What type of computer are you using? Are you using j tablet? J tablet has been causing lag related issues for Mac users. Another idea would be to uninstall and re install java. While your java is up to date it sometimes helps to re download! I am sorry you are having these issues I hope you can resolve them!

Make sure you've got all the JTablet files removed from your Mac! Java doesn't need to be removed, only the JTablet files.

Go to finder, click "Go" (Top of screen), "Go to folder" (Should be on drop down menu), and type in " ~/Library/Java/Extensions " (If you have installed for your user only) or " /Library/Java/Extensions " (If you have installed for all users). There will be 2 JTablet files there if you haven't deleted JTablet yet - delete those 2 files if you haven't already.
