I think that honsestly, there is no reason why Nick and Tess shouldn't at least consider releasing another Big Box, but there's no reason they should other than to keep the CS economy in balance. xD Maybe they want it to match the real world economy. OTL

Nothing's set in stone .__. It's just a petsite

Yeah... I agree. I think if you just put
Yeah I think we should have another box :3
It just seems like you just want more rares and not so much worrying about the actual CS economy.
I'm not pointing any fingers. I just had to say that.

@AuroraStorm There is a definite difference between complaining and being logical ^^
You can push either of those as far as you want to go and they will still be either complaining or being logical

If you guys want the box, just keep coming up with good points

I don't really have an opinion on this whole thing yet- just on some of the things you guys are saying
But I do support standing up for what you believe in- so do your best C:

I honestly wouldn't care if they release a box that could only be adopted by people who hadn't adopted it already.

Yeah...I agree that for some this site means a whole lot more than to others. I started playing this a year ago because my younger sister wanted something that the both of us could share and play together while I was away at college. And I admit sometimes I feel foolish for getting so involved in a pet adoptable site..but within months I really began to love it and more than a year later, I'm still here. And I've spent a fair amount of money getting C$ not only for me, but for my sister as well. Something I wouldn't have done unless I truly enjoyed CS and believed that it was a good, fun, worth-while site to invest in. That being said...there is an aspect of consumers expectation and demand that should be factored in..

I'd love to have another box, just because, as so many have mentioned before, the very low number of 08 and 09 rares/VRs/OMGs that were re-released this year will make it soooooo much more difficult for people who are trying to get a complete collection (like me) or who just want to obtain some of their big dreamies.

However, I do respect Tess and Nick and trust that they know what they are doing and will do what they think is best.

I don't care much for the pet part of the site anymore. I enjoy it and everything, but it's not the main thing on CS for me. A lot of my friends live mainly for the pets though and seeing that so many of them were disappointed this year kind of broke my heart |D'' At first I thought it was just our bad luck but I saw the "pets you got" thread and was really surprised at how many uncommons there were. For the past years there was quite a bit of people getting good pets that even for people who didn't get any, I think it lifted them up a bit. Moods tend to pick up from other's after all.
This year, although I'm sure that everyone appreciates the pets a lot, it's been kind of dreary. There's been fighting over the good pets that there are and overall it's making me feel down too even though I'm not a a very active trader.
Since the box was adopted less than half the time predicted I think it really would be a good idea if we could adopt it again and even things out. Or if it's too soon, maybe not now but sometime a bit later in the year?

I very much hope that the staff does a re-re-release XD Even if I just get more random trade fodder, it'd boost the economy substantially and give the staff/Tess the chance to correct for the 18th mixup. If everyone who adopted earlier, we'd be much closer to the "expected" number than we are now. There'd be more URs, giving more people the chance to have one, because right now, supply isn't even close to meeting demand. There'd be more of the older pets UFA or UFT, which makes the whole CS economy go around ((Like the boost in economy we get from events like Advent, Halloween, Easter, and this summer's Faire.))
Of course, not everyone can have URs, or they would loose all value, but right now I'm seeing a complete lack of them. Not everyone can have a really rare pet, but as many poeple pointed out, it seems like a very small percentage of adopters got anything of any real value.
((This is getting rambly, but anyway... I hope we do a re-re-release. For the sake of all of CS.))

I only read the OP, but I'm going to stroll in here and post my dandy little opinion anyways. x3

In all honesty, I was kind of... disgusted with December 18th this year. Perhaps that's not the best choice of words, but I certainly was not happy. I did get some trading fodder and I have the newborn of the speckled OMGsr Rat, but that's the best I managed to get. Last year, I ended up with four Sunjewel bunnies, a Joker Bunny, UR Malk, UR Cat, Shima's VR Butterfly Wolf, Grapes, a Sunjewel, a Sorbet, a Galaxy a UR Rat, and so much more. This year I have a bunch of commons. So, yes, I am disappointed. I waited all year in hopes of swiping all of these great pets and I ended up with a group full of common Rares.

I am grateful that we have December 18th, however I feel that some compensation should be made for the horrifying terrible ratios this year at least.

I gotta say that, as much as I've been gifting people out-side of the holibomber squad, I was really looking forward for adding to my trade folders with older uncommons, 09' commons, and some Malk pets. I've pretty much stopped considering trades for my extra Malk pets (since Malk's pets are discontinued besides the two linearts) and for the most part, I'm expecting fair trades for my current rares. I gave out a lot of gifts to newer members and now I've create the very hole that a lot of people can't dig out of. x_x I stopped my trading entirely because no one is trading for older pets (since I think they are doing the same thing as I am).

This year, I did pretty well like last year, but I regret giving away my non-balloon since I'm now coming to realize that I'm pretty much going to have a small and very stale trade folder. Everyone's expecting over payment for their older pets because there's not enough of the older pets to be able to compete for. I already have enough problems IRL that paying for store pets or other items in return payment is out of the option. I was very surprised to know with the numbers going up in member count, we're seeing the same pets that were released this year. This always made me curious why to add the recent pets since, from now until 5 years in the future, that if older pets aren't going to be released, fewer and fewer of us will be able to complete our collections

Now, take away all the negativity and I think CS is still a wonderful game. I realize that this is just an online game but I would seriously like to be able to keep my hopes up high because I would like to finish the game (aka complete my collection) within the next year or two. With my trades flooded with new current year pets (and some '10 pets), I seriously doubt I'll be able to complete my collection within my time frame with these current pets. I think this is why more and more people are beginning to attach themselves to this paperclip game... it's just another invention to try and complete the game with such little much needed blood going around.

I definitely agree with Nick - uncommons and commons are needed for his intended balance, but within the last two years... there haven't been many rares or VRs so I think that there was already an imbalance because the last two years are completely flooded with VC, C, and UCs. Rares of this year is like trying to pay for a VR IMHO. UCs from '08 is like giving half my collection to someone because they expect overpayment for it since "there's not a lot of them left". I am so exhausted from all the users I come by, being snarky with me about me trying to trade fairly for their "rare" uncommons. Do they want my left leg, too?

OVER ALL, I'm sorry for being less than optimistic. My frustration isn't actually from Dec. 18th at all. I'm kind of frustrated in general with the lack of older pets that are super, super hard to get. D: I was hoping the release of Dec 18th would relax everyone in trades (I wasn't really looking for Dec 18th for myself).

Happy holidays everyone! I'm taking a break to the real world for a while. I think I've spent too long thinking about CS and these politics. XD
