Their parents will have sent in a permission slip to Nick & Tess letting the user use some or all areas of Chickensmoothie. :3

Perhaps...but their only recent posts seemed to be in the oekaki, so it looked like they had been used to be able to post in the forums, but now are not.

They might have been belatedly COPPA'd (if they were discovered to have lied about their age, or if they somehow weren't identified as US citizens until later, etc etc etc)
Spread the word to end the word, because discrimination based on perceived or actual IQ/"intelligence" is no better than discrimination based on race, gender, etc.

Context, consistency, and clear antecedents are golden.
I neither read nor speak between the lines. But I will analyze your language.

If a user first was a normal user and then later was COPPA'd the signature/interests etc. stick on their account. They can't change them again untill they get un-COPPA'd, but it'll stay just as it was.

Hello there!

The best way to deal with this is to put a couple little notices on your auction pages and in your trade rules. In your trade rules make sure you state that the pet is for auction {provide and image of the pet you're talking about} and link to the auction post. Then, in both your auction post and your trade rules say something to the lines of:

"If a COPPA wishes to bid on this pet, they need to put their bid into a group title For Auction Payment and send that entire payment as a trade, that way I know if they want to bid or not."

If you do that and you get a trade from a COPPA, it will then be much easier to tell if they're bidding on your pet or if they just want to trade, in which case you can cancel the trade.

Hopefully this helps!

This is a really helpful guide!

I do have a question, though. Why can COPPA's post in the Oekaki is they aren't allowed to post?

That's the only place they're allowed to post, which allows them to use the Oekaki itself, I believe that's the only reason, but their posts are all checked before they show up there.

Yes, if you're under the age of 13. :)
