Brainstorming:
Egyptian Anubis dogs, with those pointy radar-like ears.
UFO dogs (Or other pets), with glowing - eerie symbols and possibly crop circle designs on them?
...Dust bunnies? xD

Pets based of cells! As in, like not prison cells but like tiny body building block cells. Nuclei, Golgi bodies, Endoplasmic Reticulums, or even cytoplasm themed pups. Neurons, red and white blood cells, square plant cells, I mean, you can really go wild with them. Stick a nucleus on that face!

ok what about a giraffe horse? its neck and legs could be slightly longer
or bats that look like dragons? they would be so small and cute.
