This may have been suggested before, with 866+ pages and all, but just in case it hasn't....

Gemstone Dogs (or other animals, doesn't matter). Could be any kind of stone or mineral, precious ones like diamond or emerald, or common ones like granite or slate. This could even be multiple litters if you wanted to take it that far, lol. I think a litter of Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic dogs would be especially cool! Igenous would be all black and shiny (think obsidian), Sedimentary would be a bunch off tiny rocks or spots, and the Metamorphic would have horizontal stripes/layers. Or however the artist wanted to do it, lol, just my ideas.
