Oekaki/Java problems & solutions

Anyone with the issue of the Java plug-in not working correctly:

Have you all tried uninstalling/redownloading/reinstalling Java? It seems to be a pretty common issue, so I'm trying to figure out what's going wrong.
Perhaps another solution would be to try installing an older version of Java for now.

hello! i've recently keep having errors from java and okekai. first was that it wouldn't save, but i fixed that w/ reading some stuff on here. but now its having yet another issue. im not sure how to fix it, and need some help if anybody knows how. here is what i keep getting:

Yes; you'll need JTablet.

No, sorry. Chromebooks don't let Java install. You need Java for the Oekaki to work.

Sounds like an issue from V1. Are you using V2?

I'm trying to save my picture and it says "Saving drawing, please wait" but after a while nothing happens.

I'm kinda scared to download JTablet because it's from an unknown publisher but I know you're here to help. It makes me nervous because I am always strict about downloading things but I am so desperate to be able to use my pen pressure on here. ;-;

If I install is should I install the second version or the first? I have a Windows 8.0 laptop and I do not know which one will work better with my laptop.

Try switching to Chibipaint V2, you can do so here.
