Pound lag getting worse?

to me it started to be impossible since the update to get any pet from pounds it lags extremely much and when I get there it's already closed ;c the lost and found works fine I always manage to get something from that

L&F doesn't get nearly the same amount of traffic as Pound, it always opens with a set 1500 items and it takes over an hour for people to clear it out (sometimes over 3 hours!), whereas Pound has between 1200-1400 per opening and is gone in seconds.

This lag has for real been something else.

It took me 10-20 seconds for me to load the pound and I missed out on a few good catches

Not only does the pound take several seconds for me to load, but when it does and I click on a pet, that takes several more seconds for it to tell me that it has already been claimed by another user. It didn't use to be this bad. Now, if cs doesn't immediately load, I assume the pet has been taken

The thing is, if they know the website is going to be busier during events then why schedule the Pound to fall around rollover in the first place? It seems very counter intuitive. There's a few solutions that could be made:

- Only open the pound during less peak website hours
- Add more pets to the pound during this event time
- Gradually open the pound during peak hours (slower than it is currently)

My coding knowledge is very much limited, however it seems difficult to have one person coding the entire website. Do they not hire staff to help with website maintenance? (/Gen /nm)

Users have been suggesting CS to hire more coders for a few years, but alas; nothing

fr tho, this has been happening for almost a month now, at first they excused it for the new pound update, but this update has been up for a little while now and now i'm starting to think it's just poor server matinence.

Unfortunately it's no wonder people have been leaving CS for websites like Flight Rising... There's an event atm there too and I've never had issues with it lagging etc. Obviously the set up is very different to the pound.

i 100% agree. plus i feel like pets recently haven't looked the best? i liked the valentine's pets but i wasn't a huge fan of the january pets
