I'm a traditional artist, while I meddle in digital art every so often when needed pen and paper is where it's at for me. And I'm not on this site for my art to be seen or the like, my main reason for being here is that I love the ARPGs and closed species on this website, and enjoy getting involved in them.
Many of these ARPGs are okekai-based and if I want to make myos or the like for the group and there are no pre-made lines, I have to make a cover. These have never been locked in the past so I agree with the person who was saying that no, it hasn't been enforced. Here's my most recent cover, late September - as of posting this it is still unlocked.
linkOkekai doesn't work on most of the devices in the house, for me. Mobile doesn't work, and my main computer has something weird going on where I can't increase the line size of the drawing tools, making drawing things pretty impossible. This means if I want to try and struggle through making digital art for a character, I've got to head down to the one computer in the house that's new enough where it works - and that doesn't always work, because my mother uses that one, too. So often I get a bit stuck.
Not entirely sure what I'm trying to say other than I'm concerned about this like all of you and I'll be following this conversation. This really feels like something that would narrow down the amount of closed species I'd be able to participate in on the myo front, which is kind of sad to me.
