I'm not sure if this was done yet but what about SPACE DOGS. Like, a sun dog and a moon dog and a UNIVERSE DOG. I don't know I was just listening to the space core from Portal 2 and I thought an astronaut dog would be cute.

The planets would be cool, but I still believe Pluto is a planet. *sigh* I can just imagine a little Pluto PPS.

What about dogs based off less common cat breeds? Such as the Khao Manee cat, the Siberian cat, the American wirehair cat, the skookum cat (which could be a pps), etc.
