Make your own PHP adoptables system

Do you know of any adoptable php codes besides mysidia? I went to make one, and right in the middle they said they wanted me to pay for it, and I want a site where I can just play around with it until I get really good with HTML.

Really? As far as I know, MySidia adoptables is a free script. Are you sure you weren't looking at an offer for paid hosting for the script?

phpBB is the forum software that we use for our forums. PHP is the programming language used in this tutorial, and is also the programming language that the phpBB forum is written in.

You only have to pay for mysidia if you want to remove the 'powered by mysidia adoptable' in the footer, and to have access to a premium mysidia adoptables addons forum.

Yup, if you have a web host which supports PHP and a MySQL database, you can install the phpBB forum into it. You can download the forum software here:

http://www.phpbb.com/downloads/

If you just want a forum, and not a website, you can just use a free forum host instead, which already have phpBB installed and working for you. For example, http://www.freeforums.org/ or http://www.forumotion.com/ .
