Maybe a carnaval theme for February? With masks, confetti, maybe a disguise or headdress?
In my town there is always a huge carnaval celebration with 3 days of dressing up and having fun pretending to be whatever or whoever you want to be. We also have a huge 'parade' with more then 70 different groupes, each have there own theme with eleborate costumes and large decorated wagons (Like Rio the Janeiro but in a smaller version and a more laughing theme. We love to make fun of everything possible in those days, and even in the first place of ourselfs -what good is making fun of something if you can't even stand to be made fun of yourself. Only dish out what you can take yourself is our motto ). We live for that period
Maybe a white pup with a colorfull blanket and confetti around (and on) it
and for the next stage, a white pup with colorfull splashes of fur and when they grow up add some accesoirs
like a wolf with a colorfull mask, a wolf with colorfull socks and scarf, a wolf covered in serpentine and confetti and a wolf with a funny headdress and maybe a cape on or something.
in other words a funny theme with a Rio the Janeiro feel to it. (since I doubt anyone here has heard of the karnaval in Aalst -my hometown- If you want a good laugh, google it sometime and see some of the wagons and costumes).

How about a sky dog?
One outcome would be dark blue and have stars all over it's body and maybe the moon on his forehead or something.

The morning one could be blue with some clouds and maybe the sun.

And a sunset one with pastelish colors like pink, orange, and purple.

Then the rarest one could be an ayrora dog. It could have a white bottom half of it's body, and then the sky for the rest of it. Going across it back could be an aurora and some stars.

Just a random idea, Hope this hasn't been suggested a lot. =)

Maybe Real galaxy wolves(Not like our current ones)! As in planets, stars, the moon, earth, sun, the milky way, etc...

I am gonna work on these recently suggested ideas and see what tess says:
-brown recycled dog with green circling arrows and earth ballon tied to tail (but will be out for earth day only)
-my own suggestion for earth day: A dog that is in a tarsh can or by one
-an animated day to night dog (I LOVE this idea and it would be sick so i'll try)
-money wolf (will grow into many currencies)
-planet dogs (jupiter, mars, ect)

maybe the month the currency, planets, and world wide flag dogs are released it can be in the month with earth dog!

I have an idea! Has Tess -or anyone- ever thought of a wolf (or dog) with cat patterns? Like, a wolf with tabby cat stripes? I drew something like that a little while ago:
