same :c
That is the wrong value you are selecting, you are meant to select the hyperlink to get the image, or you right click on the avatar image you cropped, select 'Copy Image location' and it will give you the image's URL.

Okay, so what you should have is a link that looks like this
link:
http://create-avatar-online.com/userpics/VLSAKXCIBJ.png
(It's just an example image I did using the site)
What you do is you open a link that looks like that in another tab, and save the image to your desktop or pictures folder on your computer.
Then you can upload it as your avatar
or you should be able to paste that url link into the url area on CS when uploading it.
If that doesn't work, go for the first option c:

I saved it to my computer, then I uploaded it. Didn't work. ;-;
Hmm... It worked when I did it with the image above.
I have no idea what is going on then, sorry :c

After reading this exchange, I'm not sure what could be the problem either. Did you already read the visual walkthrough that I posted here?
Also, if you try to go back a step on the website and do it over again, the website gets confused. So if you need to redo the sizing step, start over at step 1, not step 2, or else glitches will occur. This could possibly be your problem, but I really don't know.
If you want, you can post/PM screenshots of your process to see if we can find the problem, but I know that can be tedious.
